Absolutely dreadful place. Terrible service, staff are surly and rude, I canât believe a place like this exists in Costa Rica where everyone else is so friendly and helpful.We had to go to counter to order, then go back again as they didnât bring what we had ordered. We also waited ages to order (the staff ignored us and others waiting). Same happened when we paid.Food is ok, coffee is bad. But not worth the trip based on the service.

5. Bungalow Malu

We came here (still here) at the tail end of our vacation for some relaxation. 2 adults and two kids, 12 and 13. We stayed in the upstairs 2 bedroom bungalow and it was perfect. Big bathroom, a/c in the master with walkout to balcony and ceiling fan in kids room. We were the only ones here for 2 out of 3 of our nights and it was so peaceful!! Service was exceptional and breakfast rated a 5 star from my picky eater kids. The pool is the perfect size for relaxation and to cool off, especially when you have it to yourself. Town is walking distance and the beach is across the street. We only walked the beach, did not swim. The dogs did not bother us in the least however the howler monkeys at 4 am could have buggered off lol. Nothing you do about those guys but lie in bed and listen. I wouldn't think 2 about staying here again, loved it. The restaurants was not open except for breakfast as low season but so many choices in town it did not matter. Reception has pop, beer and water at all times and we just stocked the fridge with some snacks. The tv is small but we were able to catch the Blue Jays game so it did the trick. All in all a great place!!!

Cafe del Parquecito is a bar-restaurant in the centre of this small town. It gives excellent value, not least the 2-for-1 cocktails between 6 and 8pm - a good range made with fresh ingredients. The food (the menu has a distinctly Caribbean style) is all completely freshly prepared using local ingredients, and served with style creating a hugely enjoyable atmosphere. Though there are several apparently similar bar-restaurants in the town, this one is especially recommended.

The grilled red snapper was delicious as were the breakfasts we had. A lovely variety of fruit to start breakfast .Nice background music, romantic dining room.

Because, we went there for diner but it was closed. The lady who cooked wa very friendly, delivered a fine tomaten soup and a tastefull salad with grilled chicken , but was closed in the evening, Ok it was low season , but she said it was open , anyhow. So we went to the Banana... nearby 100 m) wich was very Ok, good food and very affordable

We chose here based on trip advisor reviews and weren't disappointed, we've come on to write the review straightaway we were so impressed. Food was really delicious, especially the chicken and rice and beans- very generous portions. I had a mojito and it was probably the best I've ever had! I watched the gentleman take a lot of time and effort making it. And that sums up the service, they really cared about us having a great time. They even came over with bruschetta on the house as well as a tasty mango rum shot thing at the end! We're travelling so trying to save money so dont aim to eat out every night.. but may have to make an exception for this place! (That said the price was very very very reasonable for what you get!)
