Etablissement familial situé au cœur de la jolie Station Verte de St Geniez d'Olt et de ses commerces. Ouvert 7Jours / 7 Jours en saison. (Avril à octobre). Au pied de l'Aubrac, au début de la Vallée du Lot et à proximité des Gorges du Tarn et du Larzac, avec pas moins de 9 Plus Beaux Villages de France à moins de 100 km.
Spacious rooms, not in the best part of St Geniez
Reviewed By Ian DOur room was a little bit strangely decorated but quite large. The bathroom was also spacious and rather dated in decoration but was OK. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was fine - in a large breakfast room on the ground floor. The hotel also has a restaurant around the quieter side of the hotel which seemed to be quite popular. Price for the room was very reasonable. St Geniez is a lovely little town and we were really surprised to discover how nice the old town near the bridge over the Lot is. Unfortunately the hotel is in a less interesting part of the town, though there is a pleasant square next to the hotel with parking that seemed to be easily available. Our room overlooked a fairly busy through road but we were not bothered by noise.

Rude Arrogant Proprietors - no customer service!
Reviewed By annette sNice location with free parking. Reasonable sized room. Excellent Dinner not cheap! Having been travelling for 5-6 hours I was looking forward to a nice Hot Bath. A trickle of water was emerging from the Tap so bath was taking an age to fill and was not even lukewarm. I tried to call reception but did not get a reply ( the reception area is away from the main area). I decided to go down to report the problem. I was quite taken back when the proprietor asked in a very "sharp" tone would I please speak French (I did not realise that speaking French was a requirement to visit France!) He then called his wife and I explained the problem. They both said the water was 60 c and complied with French requirements. I re-iterated that this was not the case and suggested they come to the room and inspect it personally, which he did. He put his hand under the trickle of water and stated it was perfect and compliant. I disagreed and at this point was HORRIFIED AND ASTOUNDED as he called me " A STUPID WOMAN" ! I responded that I was not a stupid woman and how dare he call me such! At this point he announced he was calling the Gendarms. As mentioned I was shocked I would not expect such a comment from a member of staff never mind the owner! After some time I went back downstairs to find 2 French police officers speaking to both proprietors. I introduced myself and tried to explain the problem, it was difficult to get a word in as the owners were very excitable and very much in command of the situation as they were speaking in their national tongue. It was their word against mine, the officers were not allowed to check the room for themselves as they said it was "private". I advised I would collect a sample from the room to show them which I did. The situation was "stale mate " so we retired for the evening. On return to the room we found a large cock-roach. A perfect end to the evening!!! Next morning I discussed the situation once again with the female owner, again unhelpful and dismissive, she waved some file at me stating the water temp. was compliant but, when I asked to see the most recent certificate /date when it was checked etc, this was not forthcoming. I have never in my life experienced any such treatment as a paying guest ( or otherwise) and have never had the police/ law involved. We called into the local police station the next morning to obtain a copy of the report from the previous night. They were extremely helpful and said there was no report as they should never have been involved in the first place as the issue was commercial and between the owner and the guests!! WHAT A WASTE OF FRENCH TAX PAYERS MONEY CALLING THE POLICE BECAUSE OF A COMPLAINT REGARDING THE TEMPERATURE OF THE WATER!!!!! My other concern was that of hygiene as the owners dog was very visible in the restaurant both at dinner and again at breakfast.

Reviewed By PaulrRoseThis is a good value campsite. Lovely setting by the river and walking distance to St Geniez which is beautiful and has some nice bars and restaurants. The one downside is they are very short staffed during the day, Sometimes we waited half an hour for a drink at the bar.

Reviewed By Vadim JSecond time we have visited this nice and comfortable hotel for 2 nights and were satisfied again. Small, but very clean, warm and nice rooms. Very friendly staff. Perfect location in this small and beautiful historical town. Many different shops, cafes, and restaurants are nearby. Very quiet place at winter. Free parking is just at hotel entrance. Pet friendly, our neighbors were with big dog and it was no any problems. My wife and I decided don't use internet in french hotels, just enjoyed time for romantic fellowship. I can recommend this hotel for other tourists again.

Nice, good but small accomodation.
Reviewed By Patrick vWe were here with two adults and a child. The accomodation was a little small, but oké. Everything was there to have a good two days stay. The swimmingpool was nice, the water cold, the view amazing. The contact with the owner was perfect, the English was a slight problem. The village was very nice.

Reviewed By slap974Je ne suis pas un "sensible" de l'hôtellerie habituellement mais alors la...! Les photos ne reflètent pas la réalité, on passe par un escalier digne des plus grands films d'horreur! Restaurant fermé pour cause de problème électrique (ça peut ce comprendre...) Je suis resté 15mn devant la porte avant qu'on vienne m'ouvrir, pas de reponse au téléphone. Quand enfin l'employé arrive, pas de reponse à mon "bonsoir" puis pas d'excuse ni d'explications pour le fait que je sois resté bloqué devant une porte fermée. Glauque à souhait je déconseille vivement!!! De plus le patron ma refusé le remboursement! Jai quand même pris un autre hôtel!
