Margherita Trattoria e Pizzaria

Reviewed By MauricioBabilonia

The restaurant staff was very friendly. I ended up being served by three waiters and the manager came to my table to check if everything was fine. I had the most basic salad first. It claimed it had buffalo mozzarella, but I considered it the cheese way too hard. I did not mind much because I prefer not to eat the cheese. For my main meal, I had the zucchini risotto, which was properly done. I also drank the juices: one orange, one pineapple with mint. They were both delicious. The place is probably better for pizza, but since I am trying to reduce my cheese consumption, I avoided it. There were many tables with families dining there. Overall, it was not a memorable experience, but it took care of my hunger that evening. I would return if I find myself in the same situation I was: hungry and it was late.

Madero Burger & Grill

Reviewed By Alberto_Hanai

Maringá is very famous for the hot dogs. In downtown you will find it in every corner. But when it comes to burgers there is just a few places that sells a good one. Madero is one of this places. The hamburgers are homemade and this is what makes all the difference, you don't need to put a lot of sauce to eat you can just appreciate the good flavour of the meat by itself. The only complain that I have is, I went there a few times and once I realized that the meat was frozen, you can tell that due to the amount of water that was coming out of the meat. That was my only complain, regarding that I would recommend this place to anyone.

I’m from Los Angeles and married a Brazilian from Maringá. We came here with some of my wife’s friends the last night in Maringá and what an incredible experience! I’ve tried many burgers in Maringá and all over in Brazil and they were always big burgers, but usually well done and not juicy and tasty like the burgers you can get in LA. However, when we tried Casa da Mae Joana it changed my mind. We shared 5 burgers for 4 people and they were all huge, perfectly cooked medium, juicy and delicious combination of flavors! My favorites were the Costela (rib) burger and the Cheddar Bacon burger. So so good. The look of the Cheddar Bacon will make you drool like an commercial on TV. They also make fresh kettle chips with a variety of dipping sauces including a Guava BBQ sauce, spicy sauce, and the same creamy cheddar sauce from the burger. I could swim in that cheddar sauce. BBQ sauce was also my favorite. Sweet and smoky. I’m a gringo haha, so Caipirinhas are my thing every time I visit Brazil. They make the BEST Caipirinha I’ve ever had anywhere. They crush leaves from a tangerine tree instead of fruit. Genius and so tasty. I had 3. Great restaurant with fresh gourmet burgers, chips, and drinks. Would highly recommend you check it out. We thank you a lot for your evaluation, we are so happy with your feedback and will always be here with our arms wide open to receive you and your friends again.
