Went to Amigo's after reading good reviews and all the roadside advertisements for them.We were not disappointed. The restaurant was extremely clean and the staff polite and friendly.The waiter brought out a trolley with an an assortment of seafood fir us to select from and we decided to order the platter for two. It included lobster, prawns, crab and fish.The meal was delicious and very filling.If you don't have a car and are within 10kms from restaurant they will pick you up and take you home at no cost.Highly recommend Amigo's.Dear 930waynel5,Thank you for your comment on Amigo. Set back from the road in the Sunset Boulevard shopping area. Nice restaurant, serving delicious French food. The staff are friendly, and service is very good. The menu offers a great selection, and we were never disappointed in the three times we ate here! The owners are very friendly and came to chat with us after our meal. Highly recommended!

This restaurant was a real find for traditional Mauritian cuisine. It was recommended by staff at our hotel, Shangri-La Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, which is a short car ride away.Located in Trou d'eau Douce, Green Island Beach Restaurant enjoys a nice sea view. The day we visited the establishment, England was playing in the Rugby World Cup and, not surprisingly, the large TV was the centre of attention for a contingent of supporters.The restaurant was clean and exuded an air of hospitality and good customer service. The extensive menu consists of seafood, Mauritanian dishes, poultry, vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. It has a full bar, WiFi and gluten-free dishes.The attentive and helpful staff provided good service. Our order was delivered piping hot and in quick time. Delicious food. Highly recommended.

On the two occasions we visited this tiny restaurant (attached to a B&B establishment) we were the only customers, but it didn't matter. The staff were so welcoming and helpful it was like having dinner at a friends house.The food was excellent and took a reassuringly long time to produce, showing that everything is freshly cooked on the premises.As I said, the service was exemplary. although they did run out of white wine on our second visit!Reasonably priced and fairly near to our accommodation at the Maison d'Ete (separate review) definately not to be missed if you are in the area.
