We had the chefâs tasting menu. The food was mostly good but nothing that special. Iâve certainly had a lot better at single or two michelin starred restaurants. Maybe my expectations were too high. The lobster was very chewy and overcooked albeit the sauce was top notch. The meringue dessert I just didnât like the taste of at all albeit it was a technically accomplished dish. The salmon was out of this world. Overall quite a mixed experience, but far from the best restaurant iâve been to! At the price point, I wouldnât return as it didnât feel like great value. Taking into account the price, I would have to rate it a 3/5. Ideally i would give it 3.5/5 but certainly not a 4.

We accidentally went a few streets north of where we meant to go. This restaurant was right outside of the subway entrance. It has a cool feel. It is very small and it was a little cramped between tables, but it's a really nice restaurant and we all enjoyed our food a lot. I had a steak and everyone else had burgers. All 4 entrees were served with field greens tossed in a delicious vinaigrette. Three burgers, a steak, two sodas, and two glasses of beer were $130 before tip. The burgers were on the low end of the menu, price-wise at $16/burger before adding $2.50 for cheese.

The food here is very good, served by pleasant staff. This is bistro food with some more elegant dishes, attractively presented. Prices for main courses are in the 20s and 30s for the most part, with a few dishes more expensive. The interior is attractive and reminds one of France, more or less. The noise level is moderate. Tables are close together but we weren't bothered by the conversation of our neighbors because the upholstered seats dull the sound. I'd have liked a few more mussels, and more that would open, but the sauce is excellent and the fries are thin-cut, very nicely done. The sparse mussels account for my less than perfect rating.

HOW CAN WE HELP OUR FAVORITE CAFÃS SURVIVE? Our beloved neighborhood treasures, the unique little restaurants that have brought us so much pleasure over the years--Enjoy them while they last. To walk home after church & find LA MIRABELLE not open for Brunch for several months---with Dinner only---has been disappointing. But on Easter Sunday, this Upper West Side secret treasure was open with early hours & a special menu. LA MIRABELLE has been the fond locale for favorite dining & dating memories for many years now, and Loïc & Nathalie having been serving up all my favorite French classics with an excellent & light hand, sometimes if we're lucky with Danielle bursting into French song. To celebrate the Holiday Feast, my waiter, Andy, helped me choose a half bottle of some 2012 Medoc which opened up with a robust nose and full-bodied complexity---on its own & with their good bread. Almond-crusted Filet of Red Snapper, resting on herbed green sauce provided the centerpiece of an elegant luncheon---fresh & delicately prepared & so tender it barely stayed together on the fork to the lips, but certainly tasted great with sips of the dark ruby Medoc. Finished it off enjoying a tarte with rows of raspberries & kiwi. Happy Holidays!

The service is impeccable! Every single person, from the busboy up was gracious, congenial, charming, knowledgable - truly remarkable, really elevates the experience. Nice to have the choice of either a 4 course pris fixe, dégustation.The bread and butter is absolutely divine, and they are very generous with it.Standouts: Flageolet, Dover sole, swordfishGood espresso, nice gratis madeleines, lovely take-home gift cake.It is wonderful to know how much you appreciate all we do to ensure your time at Daniel is exceptional. Loved the atmosphere here when we had dinner. There are two different nice bar areas for cocktails and they have a great selection of drinks. Highly recommend the Parisian Apero.Service was excellent, really enjoyed our waiter. We tried the patty melt which is a large portion. We definitely could have split one between two people. Also tried the salmon and fried chicken, bacon and toast which was also huge. Keep in mind the large servings if you plan on ordering the 24 layer cake that we didn't end up getting because we were too full!! Highly recommend.

The manager received us at the door. she was very professional and took us to our table. as it is a set menu, we asked for a couple of extra dishes and they accommodate us. we had the best donuts ever, Light fluffy and balanced sweetens. Staff was extremely helpful and social. we are luck to had to tour the kitchen at the end of our meal. Thank you Sandra
