The park was opened in 2014 and for the most part is lovely and cleen with lots of flowers in the summer. Alot of money has been spent by the council in velez and its turned it into a really lovely place to visit. The views of velez from the different miradors are cracking and the ermita its self is a must with its very unique paintings. Easiest way to reach on foot is go past the san francisco food market, upto the right past the palacio and cross over the road and the sign post is there. There is parking if you have mobility issues.but its a pretty easy uphil 5 min walk. There is sign posts for a cafe and toilets but i guess they never bothered as we havnt food them. Maybe they only open in the summer.

Great place to go on a Tuesday morning to buy fresh local fruit and vegetables, local honey, handmade gifts, and pottery. They also have an area where you can pick up the free English newspapers and magazines. Also a second hand book stall. Worth a fews hours visit on Tuesday morning.
