We visited Valle Gran Rey on a cruise ship at the end of 2016. We found the area to be unspoilt with lovely shops and small local bars and restaurants. We have just received an email telling us we have won a 7 day holiday in Valle Gran Rey, resulting from a questionnaire we completed back in November 2016. We are hoping this is a genuine prize and not a hoax as we would very much like to return to the island.

A stop on our cross Atlantic cruise. The contrasts between dry areas and rain Forrest are awesome. Our tour took us around the island. If you visit the Canary Island take a trip there. Visit Garajonay National Park and Agulo - well worth the trip. Learn about Vertical and horizontal rain.

This is an old church situated in the centre of the capital of the Canary island of La Gomera. It has some intersing altar pieces and shrines, and an old mural commemorating a historic sea battle.
