Every neighborhood in San Francisco has its own personality, from the hippie chic of the Upper Haight to the hipster grit of the Mission. The Marina district boasts trendy bistros and postcard-perfect views of the Golden Gate Bridge, while Noe Valley offers quaint and quiet boutiques. Wave hello to the sea lions at Pier 39, and sample local cheese and charcuterie at the Ferry Building. Sit in on a yoga session in Dolores Park or marvel at the Dutch Windmill across from Ocean Beach.

SUBMISSION: Cocktails & Comedy

SUBMISSION is a weekly stand up comedy show in the basement of the infamous SF Armory Club. Every Friday night between 7 and 830 top comedians from the Bay Area and around the country (Comedy Central, SF Sketchfest, Cobbs, SF Punchline) perform their hardest hitting material and a member of the San Francisco kink community shares some tips and tricks (if you're into that kind of thing...).

"Once a month on a small stage in the heart of the Mission, a band of comedians, actors, and rabble-rousers dives into a 90-minute show of absurd, non-PC comedy. Don't Watch This Show Live! might be the funniest live variety show you've never heard of." - SOSH.com "DWTS is Saturday Night Live meets Funny or Die meets Wednesday night in a little theater in the Mission." -SF Weekly

Robert Townsend's "Living the Shuffle" offers a rare opportunity to see a Hollywood legend in a solo performance. It's currently at the Marsh in Berkeley, and headed for Broadway. He's hilarious and poignant. The Marsh has a venue in San Francisco also. Catch Don Reed and Danny Hoyle, as well as other talented solo performers, in an intimate setting.
