By car, you travel over several mountain ranches until at the end of the road you find the Bergrestaurant Erika (Mountain-Restaurant & Hotel Erika). Here you find typical meals from the area of the Emmental with big portions. Sitting outside, enjoying the spring sun warming your body and looking over the meadows with the many flowers, especially the many crocuses, just like a carpet. Today hundreds of people walked or came up with their mountain bike to see them. The service personnel is very friendly. They offer you big rooms to stay overnight, rooms with 8, 10 and 13 beds. Perfect for the family reunion. In the past, I have come here for lunch as well as for supper and in our group of people we always go for a little walk in the area , which is also ideal for biking and hiking. This may be for a few minutes or hours, or even days. The place to unwind.

From the stories around the food, the appeal to the five senses, the cooking philosophy, the enticing aura of the chef, the whole setting and contradiction of rural location and avantgarde culinary thinking, the most impressive awe inspiring cheese board, the atelier and its inspiration, the down to earth understating genius of Mr Wiesner and his truffle dog, we were just out of our mind on how lucky we were to find this place and can"t wait for the next time (already booked). the concept of staying on a nearby farm is just the perfect complement to a wonderful evening - TRUE MAGIC!!!

Das Restaurant Rössli liegt direkt hinter dem Bahnhof Zollbrück (nicht Zollbruck), hat genügend Parkplätze und wirkt schon von aussen als eine "bodenständige Berner-Wirtschaft".Das Ambiente innen ist rustikal, viel Holz und gemütlich.Der Service ist effizient, freundlich und völlig stressfrei. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und die Portionen sind reichlich. Wir hatten das Tagesmenue für CHF 16.50 bestehend aus: Suppe, Salat, 2 Pastelti (oder eine Bratwurst) mit Beilage und ein Dessert.Da gibt es wirlich nichts auszusetzen, wir waren schon ein paar Mal hier und kommen gerne immer wieder.

I was invited to this beautiful place with a great view over the Valley of Emmen (Emmental). The scenery was as to be expected in this part of Switzerland and the service was outstanding. Very friendly staff paying high attention to details and guest's needs. Always available when ever need, but also discretely in the background when engaged in a conversation with the business partner. The food was carefully selected, prepared and also presented. the restaurant Moosegg is a place to go when you want to experience Swiss tradition on it's highest level.
