Ramathra Fort

EVERYTHING JUST RIGHT INCLUDING THE PERSONAL TOUCHES

Reviewed By tbdblr

Ramathra Fort was a magical destination to bring in my wife's birthday. She found it (as always), and felt an instant connection to it that I've learnt to trust blindly! We were pleasantly surprised to know we were the only guests on the two days we stayed, and that made it all the more special. I'd rather not describe the views, the walks, the incredible safari, the food, the hospitality, and the luxurious accommodation - coz they can be spoilers for folks wanting to experience it themselves! Special thanks to the service and hospitality team at Ramathra including Hetram (who regaled us with his ghost stories), Uttam Singh (who was a veritable encyclopaedia on birds in the area, in addition to his various insights on life in general) and really everyone there who took such good care of us. Big special shout out to Udit for that magical afternoon-evening Safari--we loved our time time with you during, and after! ;-) Wishing you all, all the very best. And to you Udit, with your passion and knowledge for wildlife, and the quiet confidence you show in your manner, we are sure you'll go places! One of them being, taking THIS place onward and forward. Stayed in this beautiful property while on religious tour to Salaskar Balaji and khatu shyamji for one night. Hotel is actually a palace converted to its present form . Interestingly, it still preserve and display heritage items which were amazing. Breakfast and dinner were served on table , the taste of items were excellent. Service was good. WiFi is available. Mr Saini was always available to explain the Rajasthani tradition in detail. As we were two families having 6 members, bona-fire was arranged . Overall excellent stay. Going in group will be advantageous.

Lovely heritage hotel

Thé hôtel is well maintained heritage property. The castle and it’s grounds are very charming. We enjoyed exploring the same. We also indulged in house riding and a night Safari both of which were really a lot of fun. A better chef and food options would get this hotel a perfect score. The food was average at best.

Great getaway from Delhi

Reviewed By Cheflamontagne

A aimé · Excellent food and service. This heritage hotel will bring you back in time with its antique exposition and marvellous hunting trophy collection. The hotel manager gave us a tour, that brought us back to see the founding fathers of India. Very knowledgeable. Great place for a quick getaway from Delhi to find a little peace and serenity. N'a pas aimé · Lack modern amenities. Bathroom could use a little scrubbing. No water was available when we arrive and we were so looking forward to a shower after a day long motorcycle ride. But, all was fixed in no time at all. No phone in room, so makes it difficult to reach the hotel staff when in need of water! Or beer!!!

Very poor primitive service. No hot water in peak Dec winter. Horrible experience. Staff had no clue. We could not take shower. They are short of staff and there is only one person in whole dining. Rest staff is contractual , roams around without any dress and doesn’t know what is going around.
