Wrightsville Beach

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on the north side of the island. The beach here is rather gritty with lot of broken shells - wear foot protection. As you go north, there is plenty of parking and access. We prefer the sandier south end - go all the way to parking at the end of the road. There is also street parking. The cost is $5 per hour or $25 per day. You can walk around the nesting area to calmer water on the other side of the breakwater.
