Arcada Theatre

Attended several concerts here and while the venue is dated and full of nostalgia, it’s always neat to see that they really did a nice job in upkeep. Seats are comfortable and the Speak Easy restaurant and var upstairs is a wonderful treat. A must visit.

Fox River Bike Trail

Reviewed By Toyota1994 - Chicago, United States

The Fox River Trail runs 39 miles from Oswego in the south to Algonquin in the north.  I traversed this trail on a bike from North Aurora to Batavia covering a distance of about 8 miles (one way).  The trail is asphalt paved and passes through a variety of scenes covering community parks, forest preserves, rivertown downtowns, residential backyards, and past dams on the Fox River.  The trail crosses between both east and west banks of the river and at certain places both banks of the river have trails. Small sections through downtown areas are on streets.  Some interesting stops along the way are:  Red Oak Nature Center, Batavia Depot Museum, Fabyan Forest Preserve (including the Windmill), Peace Bridge and the Historic Piano Factory Bridge. Much of the trail is shrouded on both sides by greenery.  Intersection with major roads and rail tracks is avoided by either the trail going under or over.  Unavoidable road crossings have adequate caution/stop signs.  Fox River Trail is great for walking or biking.  We get great nature views, artwork views and river views.

Kane County Flea Market IS Kane County Flea Market (pandemic times or not). We LOVE exploring this market for years now. We look forward to visiting in 2021 and beyond. Lots of things to see and dealers do offer many interesting and most are unusual items in their respective booths. We always especially check out a booth or two in their new Expo west bldg with lots of diversified and interesting antiques and vintage items and courteous to her customers. More power to this market! The best in the mid-west! Megan
