A wonderful place near Yosemite

Reviewed By Funonthegrandriver

This was a clean and wonderful place to stay. The hosts are very friendly and serve a great breakfast. We had three amazing days at Bed of Roses and it is near Yosemite so during the day we could enjoy this treasure of a National Park. We had never been to Yosemite and the hosts helped us to find places to go in he park to see what we wanted to see.

Charming

Thanks a lot Yvette for your warm welcome and I wish you all the best.

Evergreen Haus is awesome

Reviewed By dtwill220

Evergreen Haus was a nice quiet place to relax after spending time in Yosemite with tons of people. To be able to come back to peace and quiet was awesome. Eddie has so much information about the park and what to see in the time you have. We totally recommend at least 3 nights and we stayed 6 and that was perfect. There is a full kitchen if you wish to cook and an outdoor grill. There was no noise between rooms and we stayed In the Sequoia room which had its own separate outdoor space. There is a large deck with tons of outdoor space as well as a large living area with a huge TV. We slept better than we had in a month of travel. The bed was amazing. There is also a washer and dryer to use here which we used often. The town of Oakhurst has most everything you would need including restaurants, Grocery, etc. If we ever come back to Yosemite we will definitely stay here. Thank you Eddie for a great experience.

The location of this BnB is excellent. It provides a wonderful and enjoyable view. Lori and Bruce were very accommodating and hospitable. The breakfast was pretty and delicious. This couple is very personable and down to earth. Very knowledgeable about the the history and sites. They helped us with planning some various options and routes for our site seeing tours. They shared information on the food and restaurants around the area. Great conversationalists, fun stories and dialogue. Their motto is, “you are welcomed as guests but leave as friends.”

Super cozy

We loved our stay at the Queens Inn. Everything was clean and inviting. Loved the antique style furniture in our room and the decor was perfect. Only drawback was the handicap room we had did not have access to get off the private deck so we were unable to walk back by the river.

Worst place we stayed in during a six week stay in the States.

Reviewed By Folkiedave

We stayed here for two nights during a six week holiday in the USA going from Coast to Coast. This was one of the most expensive places we stayed outside of New York and Chicago. it was also the worst. First impressions are that the place is a junk-yard odd bits of machinery and stuff lying about randomly and a reproduction "saloon" with no roof facing you as you arrive. Apparently the landlady doesn't come into your room unless asked. For $200+ per night I expect my bed to be made without asking just as it was in every other hotel and motel and bed and breakfast we stayed in over a six week period. Breakfast - continental style - the makings are in your room. Help yourself to whatever is there - but don't eat too much since as no-one will come in and replace anything unless asked! It also had some of the worst looking food (sickly sweet) I have seen. I am told Americans are into this sort of thing. There was stuff there I never saw anywhere else. The hot tub gets a lot of mentions. We never saw it. From reading other reviews it may be an extra. No idea. Her advice re:parking in Yosemite - we ignored it, had a couple of hours extra sleep and on a really busy weekend, parked easily after leaving at 8.45 am. There is a fantastic view and lots of wildlife around. I have written hundreds of reviews. This is the only one like this I have ever written. If it stops just one person visiting this place then I will be delighted.

Pine Rose Inn

Like staying w. family on a perfect piece of nowhere i personally own..

Reviewed By Andrea632315

If that is not the experience you're looking for, I can understand why you'd be disappointed. Pine Rose Inn isn't meant to be run like a stuck up 5 star hotel, and the owners don't try to make this place seem like it is one online; so I really don't get where all the confusion and negative reviews on the establishment are coming from. Do yall even know what a B&B is?? It IS SUPPOSED TO have a rustic charm and a very quiet, very personal feel to it. If you were expecting daily room service and an annoyingly heavy staffing to pound at your door or ring up your room phone constantly, than you should've booked at the Holiday Inn. This B&B is more suited for adults w/ children, not adults who need to be treated like children. If you can't take care of yourself, can't read, can't cook, need to be tucked in at night, and require 24/7 babysitting.. well then first of all i am embarrassed for you, and secondly, I'm sure you'd be happier at the aforementioned motel. I personally do not enjoy random strangers loudly knocking at my door at 9 AM because it's time to get the hell out ("check out"). I don't call that relaxing; I consider it annoying!! So Thank the good Lord (and the property manager) for a place like this: where I can wake up whenever the hell I want, eat when I want, go where I want, play where I want, shoot/ride/hike when I want, and just revel in this extremely rare opportunity to spend time absolutely uninterrupted with the person I want. This land is frozen in such a surreal, almost magical quietness like I've never experienced before. If you can't appreciate the beauty in a place like this, then you'd probably be happier at a crowded Motel 6 in the middle of a loud city somewhere. Good luck with that!! I on the other hand am going to be coming here for a very very long time to come. The property is perfect, and the small amount of staff that does exist here makes you feel like you are family, and you're important... can't ask for more than that.
