A nice hotel in a city with a very friendly atmosphere. You will feel safe everywhere. In the hotel. In the streets. Day and night. The roof top of the hotel is worth visiting. You have a great view over Asmara from here. You can ask the staff about nearly everything- except where to find the bus station. I wanted to go by local bus to Keren. But a taxi driver took me to the bus station and I found my bus

Midian Hotel

I was in Asmara at Midian Hotel behind Nyala Hotel lodged for two weeks

Midian Hotel is one hotel in the central business of capital city of Asmara in Eritria, the rooms are very clean with running water and geezers in place. The kitchen and the dinning is well decorated with fresh air available, the security of the hotel is a warm well coming and giving good advise about Asmara and ready to help always, the workers at the hotel are very good and love to share culture about food. I was privileged to eat RAZANIA for the first time in my life, it was nice.

Expo Hotel Asmara

Pleasant stay in Asmara

GOOD: Close proximity to airport and UN offices Friendly staff Clean spacious rooms Hot shower available 24hrs Accept dollars and Nakfa On the path of yellow taxis Reception telephone can make and receive international calls Spacious rooms are priced $56 which is fair compared to other hotels Bar area is nice place to relax and socialize but closes at 10pm Place is secure BAD: Wifi doesn’t work (a friend recommended Crystal Hotel for my next visit) Visitors aren’t allowed into the hotel rooms Breakfast sucks, only option is eggs, bad tasting bread, tea bags/coffee, juice Chef doesn’t know how to prepare good traditional Eritrean food No restaurant service past 10pm (if you arrive late) Far from downtown where good restaurants exist OVERALL: Good first experience in Asmara made possible by friendly Eritrean people. Had to survive with no internet or cellphone connectivity

Asmara Central Hotel

Habemus acqua calda!

Reviewed By OllyVR

Ambasoira Hotel

Even 1 star is to much

Reviewed By Fred S

The room was dirty and electric wires on several places, like in bathroom, exposed. No running water Shower not working, toilet not working. Therefore there was a bucket to use. Food was very bad and we had to wait more than 1 hour before something was served. When we were finished they brought the rest of our meal. Not a place I ever go back

Reviewed By Alessssio

There are better

Reviewed By Krakonosh

A bit disappointing for one of the few privately run establishments in Asmara. Good location, quiet street, restaurant downstairs, although with limited choices. The staff were well presented, but unfortunately not being able to communicate in any European language, and we could muster a few between us. The room we ended up with was basic, but it had a tv with a few choices, even in English. The bathrooms were shared. Overall not bad, with an air of time travel when one looked around the décor. The worst thing though was the owner, who actually spoke good English, but was putting extra hard yards into being quite rude. I guess it might have not been his day, but we decided to move on and let somebody else have our money. Central hotel down the road was much better in service and location.
