This place never fails to impress, and would have to be the best place to dine in the Goulburn, Crookwell and Taralga area. The food is a taste sensation, carefully prepared and presented by the owners. Good wine selection, and their own beers are worth a try. This place is more than a 'pantry': it is a welcoming dining experience.

Travelling through and stopped at this great little cafe for lunch. Food didn't disappoint. Good selection of pies, cakes, Focaccia, wraps and rolls. Coffee was great too.

After praising this establishment only recently, I'm sorry to say our next visit wasn't on par. Whether it be a different cook on duty or whatever, the same meals we'd ordered previously were very different this time!Very average is all I can say this time, even the service was not up to par on this visit. It just goes to show that many factors come into play when creating a memorable dining experience... sadly this time, some factors were left out!

I'm so glad I can again leave a glowing review after my previous one for another cafe was not so good. The difference between the previous and Paul's Cafe is like chalk and cheese. Paul's knows what customer service and running a successful business is all about.The first thing you notice when you walk into Paul's is that the staff are welcoming and friendly. The premises are very clean and comfortable. They actually want you to be there and to serve you. Then the really good part comes when they serve you the food that you ordered. Yes delicious and very reasonably priced food. This is not a one off as I've been there before and received the same outcome.I would definitely recommend Paul's Cafe to anyone travelling through or to Crookwell.

We stayed for one night, and as one of us wants (her) own bathroom/shower, we had to put for the family room, comprising one queen and two single beds together with a seperate living/kitchenette area, as it alone has ensuite facilities.Have to say that five of the other eight rooms are in close proximity to the shared bathrooms, each having three fully refurbished showers and two toilets, so sharing with modesty wouldn't be a problem at all. The entire accommodation area including the communal lounge has been tastefully refurbished, so accommodation rates equivalent to a Motel of 3+ stars is expected and reasonable.Only criticisms with the accommodation are no WiFi, no TV in the bedroom area, a window rattler type air-con (new) in the bedroom area that we doubt would cool or heat the living area, and a shower cubicle that, although refurbished, has very slippery floor tiles and a slope that allows water to flow out towards the toilet and basin. The downstairs Bistro has also been tastefully refurbished, and serves typical Pub food at Pub prices...... nothing special or noteworthy, although the servings were adequate and quite tasty.Would definitely stay again.

We chose to stop off at the Chat-a-way Cafe,Crookwell on a recent road trip through Crookwell on the scenic route from Goulburn to Orange. This section of road now is fully sealed. We chose to have flat white coffees which were quite enjoyable and the service was prompt and attentive. We sat in the outside seating area of the cafe but there is also indoor seating available.
