Top 7 Asian food in Cody, Wyoming, United States

June 26, 2020 Emerita Lamoureux

Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Cody. Cody, named for its legendary founder, Buffalo Bill Cody, remains as full of Old West adventure as it was during the days when Bill himself roamed Wyoming. Serving as the Eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Cody is just a few miles away from pristine wilderness where actual buffalo can still be seen. The town attracts tourists and cowboys alike with reenactments of famous shoot-outs, restored frontier buildings and with the Cody Stampede, which the town hosts every July 4.

We arrived on town at 9:00 pm and most places are closed. However, we saw a sign in front of the restaurant saying it didn,'t close until 11:00. We don't usually like all you can eat buffets, which is what they offered; but we were given a menu that also inclded Chinese section! We ordered off the Chinese part, and it was pretty good!

Shiki

Reviewed By Richard R

I pulled into downtown Cody kicking myself because I didn't pull off at Burger King for a double beef whopper with cheese and fries. Sitting at the light I saw Shiki across the street on the south side. So I parked and walked over. It was 11am on Wednesday so I had no wait. The waiter asked what I wanted to drink, I said diet cola, he asked Coke or Pepsi. Pepsi of course then he brought out aglssofice and a 12 ounce can. That was weird. Usually a sushi bar gives you a sushi menu. Theirs was a 4 x 4 Xerox piece of paper with some choices. I saw Maduro, but not cucmber roll. So I asked for both and our they came. The tuna was obviously very fresh and delicious. The cucumber roll was made with fresh crisp cucumber and sesame seeds were sprinkled on the seaweed wrap. Again, a verydelicious roll. For lunch I ordered beef don and when it came out I would have worn I was at the Tokyo fish market enjoying a Yoshinoyo beef bowl. HEAVEN. And the total COST? $20! I knowJapanese cuisine and Shiki is right up there with anyone in Denver. Maybe the planets were aligned for me, but I have to give Shiki an A plus and recommend them to anyone who wants good Japanese food. Cheers and enjoy.

Wy Thai is a hidden gem in Cody. I came here with some friends and it was convenient from our hotel so we just walked. When you walk up, it's unassuming because there are picnic tables and the kitchen is a double wide trailer where you order from the window and take your order to go.I ordered their Tom Kha soup and everyone else ordered Pad Thai. Two of my friends are vegetarians and they said their pad thai were delicious. Another friend also ordered satay chicken, which was amazing!! My soup was absolutely delicious and I was delighted by all the flavors. The other two friends ordered pork pad thai and beef pad thai, which they also raved about. The portions are huge, especially for the money. Some couldn't finish their food and were going to make it their lunch the next day, but the youngin in our group ate it as if he had a straw (he's 23 so it's expected). Some of us ordered their boba, which were delicious as well. I ordered their taro and it was amazing, especially on a 90 degree day.Thank you for the awesome review!! So glad you enjoyed your experience with us!!

Stopped in about 10:30 on a Monday morning. They greeted us warmly and took care of us immediately, explaining foods and making suggestions. We ordered potstickers, lettuce wraps, wonton soup, and Drunken Noodles. Wow! All delicious, fresh, and served quickly with a smile. The place is clean, well lit, and low key. No fancy, just plain good!!!

This was a great place for a quick bite. They had calamari and shrimp done a few different ways. Noodle dishes were good. Beef and broccoli great...small bits of broccoli and tender juicy meat. Crab ragoon and egg roll. Good selection of desserts and fruit. Inexperienced wait staff but once you asked(for water) they paid attention.
