Reserva Natural Nant & Fall

These falls are just off the very dusty and bumpy road that you takes you from Trevelin to the border of Chile and it was well worth the stop off. Very tranquil with a number of steams/falls and woodland walks. Buy some empanadas in Trevelin and come here for a picnic - also travel a few miles further and you will come to a lovely old flor mill - well worth the effort.

Complejo Hidroelectrico Futaleufu

Even when you can think that this is an hydro-electric complex it offers a lot of beautiful views of the surrounding nature. The road to the complex has great landmarks and once within the National Park, don't miss 'Cascada de los Tambores'. It's just a 10' easy walk into a lovely cascade. A few kilometers after this, in the left hand you can also visit 'Los Pozones' a nice view of the river and its erosion over the rocks.
The lake itself is huge and quite windy, but really beautiful. There's a panoramic point after crossing the millpond, don't miss it.
When we were ending the visit, and in front of the park gate we saw a red fox. We started to take pictures and the park ranger told us that the fox accepted bread. We had some bread with us and asked for his permission to feed the fox. He agreed and we had the great chance to throw some bread pieces near him, he approached carefully and happily ate them. It was AMAZING. I fully loved the moment.

Museo Molino Nant Fach

Reviewed By James B - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

This is a modern reproduction of an old mill. Interesting to see Eco friendly use of water to operate different pieces of equipment, and in a nice setting.
Totally inaccurate and biased history lesson from start to finish. I could not work out where the owners political views lay, as he seemed to be anti everything. My Argentinian family and friends, we're embarrassed for me having to listen to the owners political rant. The only thing he was short of was the soap box to stand. Although I wanted to I just could not be bothered to address the inaccuracies to the owner.
If the owner reads this please just talk about water milling, as this is what interest the visitor.
I would still vist again but just to see the mill.

Museo Regional Molino Andes

This former mill set up by John Daniel Evans is now a museum of local artefacts used by the Welsh settlers. Unfortunately the inscriptions on the displays are all in Spanish. It would be a big improvement if these were translated into English & Welsh

A entrada custa 100 pesos e pode-se passear e tirar fotos à vontade em meio a todo tipo de tulipas, sem contar a incrível paisagem das montanhas com neve ao fundo. Espetacular! The complex is crossed by the Nant y Fall stream, a lagoon and spectacular view of the Andes mountain range. Sergio and Emme are wonderful hosts. The camping is well thought out. The bathrooms are modern and clean. The vineyard is quite the thing. They put a lot of effort, hard work, thought, and caring into their property and businesses. They even sell local artisans products!
