Mukwah Rafting Tours Day Tours

I booked a trip for my husband & brother in law. The booking process was a little odd, I had to call a couple of times that ensure the booking was confirmed. Because of this, we were a little nervous about just how good the trip would be but on arrival at the camp we met Duncan & were pleasantly surprised at how professional the outfit was.
We would definitely book with Mukwah again, we had a great day, a fantastic lunch & the raft trip was brilliant fun. Very safe & extremely good value for a great day out!

Sundre & District Pioneer Village Museum

We had heard good things about the taxidermy collection here and were not disappointed! The displays are really well put together and there is a huge diversity of interesting animals. The museum part is nice as well, though nothing particularly exceptional. Unfortunately the pioneer village is closed in the winter which we must have missed on the website, will have to pay another visit in the summer.

Sundre Golf Course

I often stay at the Mountainview Inn & Suites in Sundre while on business (and on occasion for the Stay and Play special) and I would say that I would choose to dine here 9 times out of 10.
The food is great, the staff are friendly and efficient, the beer is cold and the dining room is very clean. I especially like sitting out on the deck on a warm day for dinner and really enjoy an amazing view of the golf course. This place is a gem - what a course and talk about value for the dollar!!!
When in Sundre this is where I choose to eat!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience today. A full day of river rafting on Red Deer river experiencing beautiful scenery, fun rapids, with awesome instruction from fun and friendly guides. Our day started at the Otter rafting office, where we were taught how to wear our wet suits and get ready for the day. A word of advice: take a fleece top with you because the ones offered there are rather pricey. Take a pair of old shoes with as well, but don't worry if you don't have as they do have many old pairs that you can use! Once we were geared up we hopped onto a school bus (we were quite a large group today) and were driven (for about 45mins) to the part of the river where our adventure would begin. We donned our life jackets and helmets, and got into our rafts on the river. Each raft took about 6 people and the instructor. This was perfect as the raft wasn't too crowded and there was enough man power to keep the raft moving. Our instructor (Mike /Mark) was clearly very experienced, and he steered us brilliantly along our route. He would pre-warn us if there were rough rapids ahead. At lunchtime, we stopped on the banks of the river and walked towards the forest where a large buffet was waiting for us (included in the price of the full day adventure) which was extensive with a large variety of food, snacks, tea/coffee, biscuits. They even served soup. We continued on the river and the views were phenomenal. At the end of the day, we were taken back to the main office where we could purchase pictures taken by the instructors throughout the day. Overall an excellent experience. One more word of advice, check the weather forecast: if it rains, you will get VERY cold. Bring your own gloves, they will help.
Would definitely recommend!
Price for full day per person: $120 CAD + $15 CAD (for wetsuit).
CD with pics: $33 CAD.

Coyote Creek Golf Club

Reviewed By Hutch333id - Cochrane, Canada

We have just enjoyed anther peaceful and relaxing weekend at the RV resort adjacent to the golf club. Full hook-ups and wi-fi on very large, level gravel sites. Picnic tables and fire pits at each of the 40 rental sites. Stable power, good water pressure and friendly staff.
We had dinner in the golf club restaurant. Great service in a clean and friendly environment. The food was excellent and large portion sizes. The chicken stir-fry was particularly good.
Easy parking and access for those with mobility challenges. Clean and accessible bathrooms.

Bergen Internaional Sculpture Park

Found this place only because someone had written a review and we saw it on here. Decided to check it out and holy cow what a treasure this place is!! You will meet Morton who will describe each sculpture and tell you about the artist (from various countries around the world), he is so passionate about art that he paid for the artist to go there, and the materials which they were carved out of (some beautiful marble pieces!). It is truly a hidden gem that you must experience. The pieces are amazing! Morton does not charge you to visit but he should. Next time you are in or around Sundre check this place out!!
