Sailed into Spetses harbour and one cannot miss the imposing statue of Laskarinna Bouboulina - whose name has gone down in Greek history - a hero of revolution actively taking part in Greece gaining freedom from ottoman rule.
Bouboulina took command of husband's fleet when he died and joined the revolutionary underground organisation. Among the many battles she fought - was in the Argolic Gulf. In her honor on 8th Sept each year a re-enactment is held in Spetses harbour.....I think it would be a great day to visit.
Next time for me....as there will no doubt be a real party atmosphere - and Greeks do know how to party.
Island has a very rich naval tradition and much shipping wealth.
Lovely harbour restaurants, shopping, sun drenched villas, museums and great hospitable welcoming locals.
Can get to visit as day trip from athens

We had cocktail at the Palms. The place is very stylish, chic but not too much so that atmosphere is very relaxed . An enjoyable moment indeed.

I visited White while in Spetses for holidays. It had a big selection of clothes.. From swimsuits to evening wear!! The sales assistants were more than helpful which made me want to visit te shop over and over again!!We are more that happy that you were satisfied from our variety of styles, as well as our sales assistants .. Je hebt meerdere Fish spa ´s . Maar waar je op moet letten is of ze gecertificeerd zijn en zich aan de hygiënische regels houden. Je krijgt er zeer duidelijke uitleg. ook in verschillende talen. je betaald 10,00 euro voor 30 minuten want dat is het minimum qua tijd voor de vissen maar je mag net zolang blijven zitten zolang jij het zelf genoeg vinddus je mag er zelf een uur in blijven zitten.Heel vriendelijk personeel , neemt de tijd o je alles netjes uit te leggen !! Deze is echt een aanrader, zit bij de boulevard . Vlakbij een monument!

Placed at the top of a building, is not exactly like the famous summer cinema of Aigli (in Athens) but for sure you'll find some movie to spend your time with the family. Definitely needs a renovation and some more "green decoration" to fulfill the essence of an open cinema...
