Aundha Nagnath Temple

Reviewed By ta b

We started from Aurangabad early morning at 6.45am as we had to cover Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlinga and Parli Vaijnath Jyotirlinga on the same day.
We reached Aundha Nagnath Jyotirlinga at
11.30 pm .It was about 207 km which we covered in 4 and half hours. The road was not very smooth so we had to go slow. There was no rush at the temple. Very few people and small queue.
Once you enter the temple you have to go down 2ft through a small opening where the ling is . The roof of the place is very low so u need to sit or stand bending your back .
Only 5 to 6 people can fit at a time.
You can give the priest outside the temple Rs.250 to get Abhishek and pooja done. Buy you own flowers bale leaves milk dhatura and parsad etc. All is allowed inside. It advisable to pay as the ling is covered with a silver crown and only if you do the abhishek you get to touch and do the darshan of the ling as the priest will remove the crown during abhishek. Else it remains covered.
The Arti takes place at 12.30 pm for 10 to 15 min. No one is allowed in the main area during the Arti. One can see the Arti on the screen .
After darshan there is parsad in the form of lunch served from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm.The serve unlimited food for Rs.20 per plate. It was nice and divine.
We left the temple premises at 1.30 pm after lunch.
We had very nice darshan.
The temple is open all day and shuts only in the evening.

Hope the review was helpful.

Mudgaleshwar Temple

Reviewed By PetroleumEngineer - Baroda

This temple is located on the banks of river Godawari near Mudgal village (Tal - Pathri, Dist Prabhani, Maharashtra). This has been called as devbhumi in ancient times. The entire episode is said to be written in 'Mudgal Puran'. This place is a holy place of worshipping to Lord Mudgaleshwar.
There are three main temples in this premises. Out of three temples one temple is on the shore, it is of Lord Narsimha. There are no detailed information/websites available else where about this temple and Lord Mudgaleshwar.
Two temples which are in the middle of river Godawari, one temple is of Lord Narsimha (Mudgaleshwar) and other one is of Lord Ganesha (Mudgal Ganesh). A devotee can take bath in holy waters of river Godawari and pray god in the middle of the river. This region is hot and dry so there can be no water during summer.
There are no facilities (Wash rooms, Rest house, Drinking Water, Guide, Rickshaws, Maps etc are not available). One has to rely on the help extended by villagers.

Jintur Neminath Jain Temple

If one finds interest in such things of the past, this is definitely a place to arouse your curiosities. Amongst other interesting idols of worship and archived scriptures, there is a 9 ton idol (thats what they estimate it to be) that appears to be suspended in air. Apparently they have not yet found any magnetic field to scientifically justify how this may have been achieved.
