The Botanical Garden of Montemarcello is closed since 2017 because the the City of Ameglia, owned the land, they failed to renew the agreement with Natural Park of Montemarcello Magra Vara. Sorry. The Botanical Garden of Montemarcello lies at the top of Mount Murlo (365 meters over the sea level) in the Caprione (the hilly system which divides the Gulf of La Spezia from the plain of the River Magra), from the top you can enjoy a spectacular view from the mouth of the river to the Apuan Alps.The garden is divided into sections and they present the various kind of typical vegetation.
