Stopped for Nebraska Tourism Passport stop. Address given lead us down some unmaintained dirt roads and no people in sight. So if you're going for your stamp, turn into the main entrance and not the first one when traveling south from North Platte. No signs telling us where we might find this stamp so we stopped at the house where it said Headquarters and were greeted by a terribly crabby woman who barked that the stamp was behind the building out back. I felt bad for bothering her but could have been prevented by hanging a simple sign directing us to where we needed to go. So bypass the house and head right to the back side of the building behind the house.

Very well stocked Kitchen and Entertaining Shop, that you might expect to find in a large city; Only Better! Beautifully displayed selections of literally everything for the Kitchen, Serving Pieces, Specialty Foods, Olive Oils, Pastas, Coffee, and Coffee Makers.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful collection of high plains memorabilia in this little museum. It was charming, eclectic and delightful. Well worth a side trip to visit it. Not to mention the charming town of McCook. Very historic. It also connected to the historic Carnegie Library which was a special highlight for me personally. A great find.

This house served as his base of operations during his political career and is now a way for us to remember and honor Norris's contributions to both our state and country.
