We spent only one day in Lan Ha bay and it was really amazing. I was there in summer, so swimming or sunbathing were really funny and enjoyable. We just did a one day kayak tour with Sails of Indochina. If we could redo our trip, we would definitely try to stay with one of the floating hostels out in the bay and one night on the sailing junk. It was so amazing to experience a sunset and sunrise there. The place is highly recommended! And our tour was organised by a locally-run company Sails of Indochina Cruises and the owner, Mr. Diem, was so helpful. Recommended!

This amazing valley is located about 158km away from Hanoi. It is an ideal place for photographers and trekking tours of the lush countryside. Bac Son valley is truly a must while in Tonkin. We enjoyed much our stay at Moon Garden Retreat

We loved this border city after visiting Bac Son valley, the busy market was funny with a lot of stuffs. We loved the visit to Tam Thanh grotto and liked our Muong Thanh hotel, it was the best in town. Thanks Ethnic Voyage for organizing such a trip to the Far North of Vietnam

Nice grotto. This Grotto attracts tourists mainly for the Mother Worshiping practice. the complex has 2 grotto. The smaller one hides Mother statues in tiny spaces deep inside the grotto. It's really fun to bend and climb and go inside the grotto. I bet lots of tourists haven't found all statues hid here. The bigger grotto hides no statues for worshiping. It's merely a big grotto (bigger than Tam Thanh grotto).
