Hovden Alpinsenter

The chairlift to the summit Nos has been in operation since 1968. Today, the Hovden Ski Centre is a modern and well adapted facility for the whole family. The children's area "Tusseland" has become an eldorado for our youngest guests; and the terrain park "Bukkerittet" is more spectacular than ever! The Hovden Ski Centre has slopes for every skill level, and some of them are floodlit during evening skiing. Our service building has ski rental facilities and a ski repair shop, cafe, cafeteria, after-ski and bistro. Hovden offers a total of 34,2 kilometres of groomed descent, a vertical drop of 420 metres, two 4-seat express lifts, five ski tows and one 2-seat lift. The capacity is 9000 persons per hour.

We went in summer, not winter, but who cares, it is a fantastic area to be in at any time of the year. We did several relatively easy walks. Everywhere we went the scenery was fabulous! The hotels, self-catering, shops, restaurants are excellent.

Hovden Badeland og Spa

Reviewed By Stephanie W - Stavanger, Norway

We came to the badeland the day before we left Hovden to head back home. It was a wonderful end to our weeklong skiing vacation. There is 1 large pool (which also goes out into the outdoors - amazing in the winter to swim among the snow and ice on the edges!), a very large slide, a little inter tube waterfall and lazy river, and a baby area with shallow water. The best part (for us) is the adult spa area that is for 18 and up (except on sundays). My husband and I enjoyed the sauna very much! Our kids (ages 9 & 11) loved the inter tube river the most, but also liked the slide a bit. We had lunch here which was fairly priced (for Norway) and I can't believe this, but I had the best hamburger yet that I have had in Norway! :) Great fries too. We would definitely go back if we visit Hovden again!
Oh! They DO NOT offer towels for loan or rent. So take your own! We didn't!!!!

Hovdenuten

Rigtig fin tur.

While winters are getting warmer Hovden is still a pretty good pick if you want to be sure of good skiing conditions during the winter months. The trails are prepped to perfection several times each day. And when it gets dark, you can extend the day in the trails with illuminated area at the cross country stadium.
