August 27, 2017 Lashaunda Abraham

As a well-known destination for both spring breakers and A-list travelers in need of a getaway, Cabo San Lucas has definite vacation cred. The beaches here range in temperament, from the serene waters of the Sea of Cortez and Playa del Amor to the kickin’ waves of Zippers, a surfing paradise. If you care to romp with locals, head to the coves and rock formations of the Cannery beaches. Kids will have a blast communing with the local animals by swimming with dolphins or taking a camel ride through the Desert Park Natural Reserve.

El Arco de Cabo San Lucas (Lands End)

Tourists flock to this natural rock formation, a whale-watching site and snorkeling spot.

Took a water taxi tour to El Arco/Lands End etc and it's definitely something you must do if in Cabo.
They typically visit 9 places on the 45 to 60 minute tour.
The scenery is great but it's a bit "wham bam thank you man" blink and it's over, otherwise I'd have rated it higher.
Cost is 200 to 300 Pesos depending upon your negotiating skills. You can arrange private tours but not sure what these cost.
Regardless do it just for the views.

Pedregal de Cabo San Lucas

13 friends and I recently spent 5 days in Pedregal at the most beautiful villa. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and quite luxurious given all the other big and fancy villas. A short cab ride away from downtown Cabo (shouldn’t run you more than $10-$12USD) , Pedregal is an ideal spot to rent a villa in cabo. Around the clock security also keep the neighbourhood safe, but be careful not to make too much noise after dark, or you could get a fine of $1000USD!!

Santa Maria Beach

A pristine white sand beach offering spectacular snorkeling.

Reviewed By Linda Y - Frisco, Texas

Located near Km 11 on the Transpeninsular/Main Highway (aka the Tourist Corridor), this horseshoe-shaped beach was my favorite in Cabo. There’s plenty of parking with clean restrooms and showers. A boardwalk leads from the parking area to the beach (just enough of a walk that you won’t want to forget anything in the car). The beach itself evokes the Wow Factor! Flanked by natural rock formations, the water was clear and ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Try to beat the snorkel cruises that arrive by mid-day. We didn’t find them a nuisance although they dropped a lot of snorkelers into the water. How sad that new construction is continuing on this previously undeveloped beach. Really was it necessary to build this close to a protected bay and marine sanctuary? Santa Maria Beach is a must-do when you’re in Cabo.

This hike was definitely an experience I’ll never forget. New Yorkers / city gals don’t hike!! I found out about this place when my boyfriend and I was driving through town and heard dogs Barking. And I had to stop and hopefully to pet some little guys on my vacations. I approached and meet Enrique and his 2 dogs running around. He is was very friendly guy, a dog trainer. He gave me a little tour of all the dogs, he is training at the moment. And told me to come back in the morning, he’ll be taking us up the mountain for a hike with his pack of dogs. I wouldn’t miss any adventure with dogs, no matter what!!!
The next day we arrived, at 8:55 for our 9am hike with about 10 of his dogs. Half way up the hike was fairly easy but the higher we went, the more difficult it became. But view was definitely worth it. DONT FORGET TO BRING WATER!! And keep all your trash with you!!
Be careful on your way down, take your time. Be careful with the cactus on your way down!
Overall this was the best part of our Cabo vacation, THANK YOU Enrique for opening your door to us & you do an excellent job training these beautiful sweet dogs ❤️
