Wisconsin Point

Very few people come to the beach in the morning. We decided to venture out at 9am the other day and only say a few other cars and only 2 people. We seriously had the beach wide open and to ourselves. We beach combed, bounced on the driftwood in the water, and ez up and down the shoreline. Stunning views! I also went with some girlfriends the other night for an evening bonfire and swim. This beach is a treasure and a must visit if you’re passing through or as my kids (even a teenager ????) said, “people could come spend a week up here! There is so much to do and you can relax on the beach every day!” They are currently restoring the beach area... they are paving the parking areas and creating boardwalk type walkways and it looks really nice! So glad they are doing some upkeep! There are no changing areas that I know of (maybe they are in the construction plans??) so make sure to wear your suit and use the bathroom prior to arriving! There are gas stations close by but we usually end up leaving because someone eventually needs to use a restroom. This beach is a true gem and lacks the crowds and hike at park point :) definitely a can’t miss place of you like beaches and swimming!

Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center

This museum honors World War II flying ace Richard Bong and all veterans.

The museum is small but filled with history of World War 2 and the history of who the museum was named after, Richard Bong. A true American hero who shot down more planes than any other American in the war where is count was 40 and went on to be a true hero of his generation. A lot of Nazi artifacts as well as other countries that are on display. If you are into history especially World War 2 you will love it!! A bit spendy but worth the extra few bucks spent.

This was a great little 18 hole miniature golf, it was challenging and just plain fun. Easy to locate with ample parking.
