Cullman County Museum

The Cullman County Museum is located in a replica of the home of the founder of the community, John Cullmann, an immigrant from Germany. Opening in 1975 the Museum has become a point of pride for the community whose history its walls contain. The Museum has displays covering many eras and interest. From Native American presentations to the Main Street displays which focus on Cullman's German heritage and early history. There are many interactive features in the Museum including the popular Arrowhead Rubbing table. Tour groups are welcome and "step-on" tours can be arranged for a first hand experience of the community. Other sites under the Museum umbrella include Weiss Cottage, Cullman's oldest house and the 1913 train depot which is located directly behind the Museum.

This small museum displays interesting artifacts that are all directly connected to people, events, and wildlife of the local area. It is well worth the $5 admission. It is a nice, clean building.

I only gave them 5 stars because I couldn't give it 6!!! What else can you say. Great entertainment (band on a Friday night) and great brews. I HIGHLY recommend the blood orange and the Duck River Dunker and the big Bridge IPA. Well, heck, everything I tried was good. The owners are fantastic and the back story on the Richters was so interesting. Highly recommend this place!!!!

We stop by every chance we get. They have the best smoked meat. Please try the chicken it melts in your mouth. No faux smoke flavors either. Perfectly cooked juicy meats. Wow I’m hungry writing this. Also a wine sampler. I love their blackberry wine also. You’ve got to go in a see what they’ve got. It’s amazing.
