Top 6 Things to do for Honeymoon in Ischia, Campania

December 20, 2021 Madelene Haan

Serving as the main port town for the island of the same name, the town of Ischia has been inhabited for centuries, famous for its beaches and the healing waters of its spas. The town is divided in two: Ischia Porto is the harbor district and commercial center of the island, filled with brightly lit taverns and bars, and Ischia Ponte, the historic quarter, with its ancient castle and its stone streets seemingly frozen in time.

One of the best experiences ever! Roberto took us for a fabulous tour around Ischia and then Capri. He knew all the best spots and we could experience the perfect day without stressing out about anything. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch treated us like VIPs and all was done in a superb professional and non intrusive way. Also, having had such a great experience, we decided to book him for the private transfer from Ischia directly to the Naples airport Since we had an early flight. Result? Much faster, less stressful and overall convenient rather than public transportation. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in a beautiful and relaxing vacation. Thanks to Roberto and his staff.

Atelier delle Dolcezze

Chocolate shop and Ice-cream "Atelier delle Dolcezze" The chocolate shop is located in the best known square of the town of Ischia, just a few steps from the famous Bar Calise. The 19th century walls now hosting a place where both eyes and palate find inspiration, were in the past a home to the De Angelis family and artists Luigi, Federico and Giovanni De Angelis, attended by outstanding figures such as P. Pasolini, E. Montale, H. Purrmann, G. Vangi, V. Sgarbi and many others. Today the rooms hosting the ice-cream are partly converted into an art gallery, with the stated purpose of reviving the artistic spirit and talent that once made this house a meeting place for cultural circles. All this is now matched with a different kind of art, the high art of confectionery, with the selling of "Maglio 1875" chocolate and the production of an entirely home-made ice-cream, produced only with the freshest milk and cream according to the ancient Maglio recipe. Caffè Illy. Vegan & Gluten Free.

What a jem! This little shop in the heart of Ischia has the most delicious chocolate (amarena and clementine covered in chocolate !) and top quality ice cream (try the pistachio and 100%chocolate! Also the coffee was special as the owner explained to us that the machine used is the "Ferrari of coffee machines". The shop also sells bread without gluten and has a selection of teas and supercute tea sets! It has some seats overlooking a garden! I totally recommend!

Beautiful beach on the south end of the island. A great place to let your Elana Ferante dreams run wild. I loved collecting the tile fragments that washed up in the shore all day. No idea if this is a standard occurrence here or something special but it was special to me. Highly recommend
