Superb ,non stop action christmas show .Complemented by the abundance of christmas lights ,trees and decorations both inside and outside the show .Variety of different acts underpinned by a fantastic group of dancers ,choir and orchestra

A short walk from the Farm Shop (where there is ample parking) brings you to this free English Heritage site. Only small so won't take long to walk around but it would make a lovely picnic spot on a nice day. We were the only visitors on a crisp but bright day in mid Dec. Some of the ruins are still very decorative and I loved finding the nightstairs. There are some information boards dotted around. We're very lucky to have such a visible piece of history. Dog friendly (keep on a lead), dog waste bin nearby.
