Bourbon Street Hideaway

This restaurant is hidden below the Columbia Street West tavern. It's decor is from the French Quarter and the menu is GREAT!!! I love the Crawfish Etoufee. It's a small restaurant, seats maybe 40. The food, service and bar are all wonderful!

We went with two other couples to try their authentic New Orleans food. I lived in Louisiana for a few years and spent alot of time in New Orleans with relatives that lived there for years. This food did not live up to the billing. The ambiance was excellent, the food was average and the service was below average. We all came out and agreed we did not need to try this restaurant again.

Extremely busy on a Friday night, waited about half hour to be seated. Waitress friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food just okay. Served in plastic baskets. Tables are very close together, I was constantly bumping into other patrons behind, and beside me - not desirable. But I guess they want to serve as many as they can. Prices were reasonable, but I wouldn't say cheap. My wife said she would come back, but I am not in a big hurry to return.

We enjoyed our visit to Trolley Bar. The service was friendly and they have a nice menu. Others in my party took advantage of the salad bar. I enjoyed one of their delicious cheeseburgers and some French onion soup. We went in an off time so it wasn’t busy and food our arrived quickly. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant and will return in the near future.

We were back for the Easter Brunch. The menu shown online looked promising so we made a reservation. The first thing I tried- unfortunately- was a mini chocolate cake as a treat. The icing tasted like a freezer! It had obviously just been thawed out. The scrambled eggs were cold as were the "hash brown" potatoes. They were crusted on the outside but not even warm. Totally inexcusable. The best thing I can say is that the bacon was extra crispy and warm- everything else was quite a disappointment. No excuse for cold food that should have been served and kept warm. Second time trying this place for a holiday meal- never again. I expect far more for the money.

This is a very quaint, oddly but interestingly decorated restaurant. The menu is extensive with mouth-watering choices and the service couldn't have been better! ALL personnel were cheerful, friendly and totally brushed up on their customer service skills - although some of the women servers could have put on a larger size shirt to hold their tops a bit less revealing. The food was much more enticing to look at - presentation was a 10. So here's the topper: There were 4 in our party - my husband's entre didn't get cooked at the exact same time as the rest of ours did, so he had to wait a bit longer for his food while the rest of us ate. When it was ready - a manager brought it out and profusely apologized for the delay. We hardly noticed - we were dining with some dear friends we hadn't seen for a while - we didn't care - when the food did come - it was lovely, hot and fresh - yum! The server kept apologizing and was so attentive! Then - - when the bill came - there was no charge for my husband's entre!!! None of this "oh we're so sorry - we're going to take 10% off you bill. Whoopie - No - it was "No charge!" and we're so sorry - we do apologize!" Keep in mind this is a pricey restaurant! I WILL go back!
