With its outdoor restaurant and pub is it right at the heart of the town's social life. Good music in the pub ensure a great atmosphere summer and winter. Welcome!

To sit outside in the sun at summertime, having beer and pub-food" is exellent. you can sit outside, looking up at the castle of Halden.Located at Halden harbour, a nice place to be if the weather is ok.the rest of the year this is the "biggest" pub/bar in Halden. I peronally do not like this place during late-time. its noisy and expensive and they often charge you for entering the place, which i find rude and outragious. There are many better places in Halden to visit during the late hours.

A blustery cold wet evening, wandering round Halden in December dark, trying to find a restaurant that served vegetarian food and........ this restaurant popped out at us. It was just what we needed - warm, welcoming, smart casual, and not too expensive. My wife and I both had the vege ravioli in a cream sauce. Delicious. My son had a steak, which was much to his liking. We'd easily go back there again.

Walking around the Fredriksten Fortress all day to take in all of the long and exiting history can be tough on the feet. Why not visit the quite new cafeteria Den Gamle Kommandant (The Old Commander), for an icecream, a coffee and cake or some of the other temptations on the menu. Here is something for all tastes in a relaxed, informal athosphere. In summer, there is also possible to sit outside in the sunny back yard. Occationally, there is live music or other cultural events.

A very nice place with excellent food.. The restaurant is located a few minutes walk from the sea front. The back yard is nice and warm as soon as the sun is up - even now in April. The inside I have not yet tried out. The best chicken salad I have ever tasted, and the even managed to make a burger sandwich in a very special and tasty way.

Situated in the heart of the Fredriksten Fortress you find one of the best restaurant in Østfold. The kitchen is the heart of the restaurant. I bet you have a larger kitchen at home.Focuses on local ingredients which is traceable, often with a story about the producer. Runned by Sebastian Engh in the soul of its founder. Lovely dishes and great flavors, paired whit good wines. A kind of a la carte from a small menu based on the season. The menu normally have 5 dishes and you can choose from three to five. Of course I recommend that you take all five. Booking is necessary. Hi KimWhat a pleasure to know that you were satisfied with our service !We work hard everyday to give the best experience for our guests. I will share this review with my team, and we are looking forward to welcoming you guys on the next visit.Sincerely yours Sebastian Engh
