Sevnica (pronounced [ˈseːu̯nitsa] ( listen); German: Lichtenwald) is a town on the left bank of the Sava River in central Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Sevnica. It is one of the three major settlements in the Lower Sava Valley. The old town of Sevnica lies beneath Sevnica Castle, which is perched on top of Castle Hill, while the new part of town stretches along the plain among the hills up the Sava Valley, forming another town core at the confluence of the Sevnična and Sava rivers.

Staff is extremely friendly, service fast. Ambient is very pleasant. Prices are reasonable for this standard/level of food. They adjust the menu and prices for kids, so don’t be afraid to visit restaurant with (small) kids. If you want to try something new or interesting combinations...just visit Repovž. You will not be disappointed. I really recommended.

I spent quite a long time to be served, even with the camera in the corner of dinning room. The pizza is average quality and a lot of chance to be improved (for first of all, maybe better ingredients). Ambient of whole restaurant is nice and wheelchair accesible. It is in the middle of the centre, so you can reach them by walking...

Tončkov dom is not in Sevnica. It is a local inn on a top of Lisca hill. You can walk up to this hill, you can use your bike. When you are old or lazy, you can drive up to the top. There, you will find a kind of a Alpine hut with basic food. Simple, with nice atmosphere and locals around you. Fine view from the top.

I passed by and had to stop. It's a nice old vintage typ of a wine celler place. They have a good coffe and nice staff. The location is right under the castle so it has some old-ish ambient. Warm place with good energy.

It is very convenient place when you visit castle or castle park. Place has two rooms in the ground floor near the entrance. You can meet many locals in the restaurant. Place is more sweet shop and bar where you can find different drinks and fine cakes, some with reminiscence to the first lady Melania – she came from Sevnica. Prices are not high. They have some toys for children.
