Relaxing vacation

Reviewed By 293mimmica

We had a really comfortable stay for whole 1 week. All the staff was very nice but especially Mr. Goran in the reception was very helpful, friendly yet very professional. The spa was great not many people really a spot to come and just relax. Pity that the hammam was not functioning because the glass door was broken. We had everything working well apart that. The house we stayed in was equipped with everything we needed including a BBQ. Unquestionably, We will come back.

Simply unacceptable for the price

Reviewed By Dr_cooke

Service in this hotel is in general quite far from a 5 star level. Rooms are quite big and reasonably furnished although starting to age. Rooms facing away from the lake are quite dark and sad looking but worst was to come at night. AC system was making a terrible noise even when completely switched off. I could not sleep at all. Front desk staff seemed to be surprised when informed. Checkout process was awfully slow with only one person taking care at rush hour and this created a very long queue. Breakfast was simply ridiculous for this type of stablisment. Overall very poor experience, dull location and very expensive.

DENOUNCE

Reviewed By Devid B

Having read the reviews, we arrived equipped, but we did not think we had to face such a horrible experience. On our arrival, externally there were dog droppings near the entrance and the wooden terrace. Internally there were spiderwebs everywhere, on every corner, behind the television, under the bed. Spider webs that started from the ceiling up to the beds. Spiders and spider cocoons everywhere. During the time spent, we had to shower with spiders, and it happened that we woke up with a spider under the covers. Along all the internal walls there are innumerable feces of insects, so as to leave real trails easily visible. Being close to the forest, there is a thick presence of insects, like also some worms, beetles, grasshoppers at home; the problem is that every day we find limeghe inside the house, on the blankets, on the toilet paper, in the toilet, next to the bed. Breathing, we can feels a constant smell of mold, so much so that colleagues on our arrival there made us notice this smell. Mold is present in every corner, both at floor and ceiling, not to mention the area adjacent to the refrigerator. They require a final mandatory cleaning at the price of 30 euros per hour. In our opinion, even before our entering, you could clean the bleach for a week and nothing would change. Scouring we realized that the light of the differential switch was broken, the oven was very encrusted and with various streaks of dirt, a plastic spoon was dissolved by the heat and had yellow scabs. We would like to point out that one of the roommates took a mint inside the apartment. The most important and horrendous thing was the blankets we found on the beds when we arrived. Brown, red, yellowish, mold, yellow spots that covered the whole pillow. Never seen such dirt. At the limit of hygiene and legal. We did not have the courage to buy the UV torch, but this place would deserve a toilet patrol by some public body. At the end (and after 3 weeks) we were given € 850 of deposit instead of € 1000, due to energy consumption (in the summer, and we were out every day due to work) and for cleaning the blankets. The blankets have not been burned, but washed and now they are ready for the next tourists.

Great family holiday with loads to do

Reviewed By mikeesturg

Been going here for 15 years as both my girls have grown up. Not been for a couple of years and this time had my eldests' boyfriend with us as well, so 5 in all. So cost. We had the big chalet for 6, which had a sauna, two bathrooms with good showers and a jacuzzi bath.3 bedrooms, with two double beds and one with 2 single beds. Nice kitted kitchen and had a dishwasher and microwave/oven that was a little tricky to figure. Bbq also in the back. We had the vip service so had bread rolls delivered every morning, which were different all the time. Including bike hire for the week, the package cost E1200. It was more than we normally pay, but I had been carrying over our original holiday of E800 for the last couple of years so splurged for this year, and have to say we'll spent. Booking early in September for May means we got money off and some deals. The chalets all look the same and drom outside looks like you have stepped back into tge 1970s but have to say the inside was as clean as always. As my kids are older we don't do some of the stuff, like the horse riding but there is loads to do. There is the swimming lagoon, play area, petting zoo, pedalos, tennis amongst overs. We have seen some upgrades since last we visited. The beach area has been done up and my big kids liked. There seemed to be more to the adventure area where they have the climbing wall and the high walk area. They now give you a wristband that not only unlocks your front door, but also a locker in the swimming area, so no need to find the euro coin! We took the bikes out to Peer, which is 25 min ride away. There are the normal brilliant bike paths to tge town from centerparcs. Some big supermarkets- it's expensive on site so we pop out to stock up - and also have a little walk around. Not much here, few cafes and shops but they do have a market but not too sure which day its on but it was worth a look when we caught it. We tend not to eat out as it is expensive (breakfast for 5 was E65) but we do treat ourselves one morning and the choice is good. On and off we have been here about 10 times. Not getting bored of it and the kids still like it. We really do spend all the time together and for that alone it's worth every penny.

Another great trip with family and friends.

Reviewed By Actions

This was our 2nd trip to de vossmeren as a family but this time we took friends who had never experienced center parcs before. We had a great time and will certainly be booking again. There was a fair bit of work taking place across the park and the swimming pool changing rooms are closed until August with makeshift temporary ones erected on the Badmington courts. Not ideal but better than closing the pool. Food and drink is on the expensive side but that's the same wherever you holiday as a your a Captive audience. We stopped off at a nearby supermarket about 5 minutes away in Netherlands before arriving which helps a little. If you've never been before I'd recommend giving it a go and we prefer it to the UK ones. We feel its more relaxed, has evening entertainment and staff are really friendly. Not much else to say other than have a great time!
