I had a great day visiting Mount Etna, learning about the history of the volcano, and previous eruptions. I also enjoyed a wine tasting and tour of a winery. A delicious light lunch was also included, but for me the highlight could have tasting a selection of delicious honeys! Paola my guide was fantastic., and I was the only client,, so it was great to have my own personal guide. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Rome Italy Explora

The Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina is considered to be one of the most important exemplars of an official governmental residence, attributed to the elaboration and exceptional beauty of its architectonic and decorative elements. Dated back to 320-350 A.D., the villa most likely belonged to a member of Rome’s senatorial class, probably a governor of the Eternal City itself. On board of a Piaggio TriVespa you will visit Caltagirone a little town full of swirling patterns, vibrant colours, painstakingly detailed designs: wherever you go in Caltagirone this is what you will see! The highlight is undoubtedly the 142 steps of the Scalinata di Santa Maria del Monte. Here you will also taste typical Sicilian food (arancino and cannolo).

We wished we could see Pope Francis but we could never expected we could see him so closely thanks to Rossana great effort. Rossana and our driver Luigi are both great persons and the visit to the Pope very well organized. They both were professional, supportive, engaging and very helpful. Rossana took really a great effort to make the visit tailored to our needs and she had great sense of humour. Big thanks to R and L. We would highly recommend this tour.

6. Caltagirone tour

Sicily With Us

The tour begins with hotel pick-up and departure towards Caltagirone, home to many craftsmen and capital of Sicilian ceramics. Here a master ceramist will give us a demonstration of the processing of ceramics, to then continue with a walk in the city center with a visit to the Church of Santa Maria del Monte and the homonymous staircase, consisting of 142 steps, decorated with ceramic tiles, built to join the lower part with the upper part of the city. Other stops will be the Cathedral of San Giuliano and the regional ceramic museum. After a stop for a typical lunch, we will continue towards Piazza Armerina, famous for the Villa Romana del Casale. The Villa, dating back to the 4th century. d. C., is a magnificent rural residence, whose charm is mainly due to the enchanting mosaics, considered the most beautiful and best preserved of their kind, which made the Villa included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
