Rocky Creek Dam

We did the Platypus Walk with 2 kids (aged 4 and 1) and its a very easy walk to do with kids this age. Don't be afraid of the drop on the dam wall - it looks worse than what it actually is. Can easily take a pram/pushchair on this walk with no issue at all. Beautiful walk in a well maintained park - I just wish we were able to spot a platypus but more of a reason to come back!

Heritage Park Railway

Our grandchildren were enthralled with the park, swings, climbing platform and of the course --- the train. It is a completely safe area for little ones to run, laugh and play returning to the family picnic for the quick refreshment before they headed off to find something else. The facilities are well-maintained and looking fresh. The train station was a snippet from tester year and the train experience memorable, especially travelling through the tunnel. Would we revisit the park / train when our grandchildren holiday with us again --- oh, yes!!!

Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens

This small municipal garden is maintained by a group of local volunteers who are to be congratulated on their efforts. The pathways are well laid out and the walk is very easy. This area is a great way to educate young kids on the beauty that is a rainforest. Plenty of free parking, picnic areas and clean bathroom facilities make this an interesting place to visit.
