Slow service at the drive through. 15 minutes+ to get food from the time you get in line. Seems like there is no efficiency in their employees, but that seems extremely common for the entire town as it seems. I sat there and watched my food sitting in a bag for at least a minute or two while I looked in through the window wanting to eat it. When I received it, I mentioned that it had been just sitting there getting cold, and the response I received was rude, like 'Who are you to tell me how to do my job' rude. I was also told they were waiting on something to put in my order, but I was staring at my bag the whole time and that was a LIE. Ironically, 3 other fast food restaurants on this strip have done the exact same thing to me, with the drive-through girl at the new Burger King by FAR being the rudest. I stared at my bag there for 5 minutes, and saw 2 cars give up and leave.

Authentic Mexican food, reheated, I'm sure, not exactly fresh, but has good flavor. The place is a little run down, could be a little cleaner, they could move a little faster, but this is not the kind of place you go to if you want shiney and new, fast and robotic. If you want Authentic Mexican like you would find in some grandma's kitchen, this is your place.

Best place to eat near Fort Polk, LA. They say their food is inauthentic Mexican food. Chicken, pork and beef off course. Sautéed veggies are amazing!! Prices are very reasonable. Must try and you will keep going back.

The tacos were decent, nothing worth writing home about, but more authentic than Taco Bell. There were a lot of flies and the place did not look very sanitary. They have now moved into the old Las Margaritas, where the already defunct Blue Marlin lasted about a month. Hopefully it will be a lot cleaner, and maybe they can expand their offerings. I will give them another chance, now that they have moved, I do LOVE Mexican food, and have really missed the old Cafe Puerto Rico/Las Margaritas of the old days, not what it had become in the last few years. They had a salad bar type unit with several flavors if salsa, and that was the only memorable part of their offerings. I look forward to seeing the hopefully-expanded menu.

We are so super picky about our Mexican cuisine. We have tried literally EVERY local Mexican restaurant in Leesville and nothing compares to the overall freshness and quality of our meals at El Flamingo. The ambiance isn’t awesome, but the service is outstanding. Chips and salsa is always abundant and fresh. We love the taquitos and burrito fast.

Mexico Lindo

Four of us had a late lunch here last week and were all happy for our experience. The margaritas are excellent and only $2.99 for a small. The chips and salsa are very good. We ordered queso and guacamole for appetizers to share and both were good and considerable amounts. The queso is white queso and was a nice change from the standard yellow. I had the ground beef chalupas which were excellent, but a lot of food, so only ate one. One person got an item recommended by our waiter that she couldnt stop talking about. It was a chicken stuffed poblano and wrapped in a tortilla like a burrito and covered in cheese sauce. Our server was friendly and attentive. It's a good restaurant in this small town with limited options.
