We wanted to get out of Lima and decided to try Kusina restaurant 30 minutes to the south. Glad we did! Food was fresh and the service very attentive. We also enjoyed the local dance perfomance and an area for kids to play that included face painting from 1:30 to 3:30 (on Sundays) and a complimentary photo. Service is very good, warm welcome. Place is clean and airy. Splendid tiradito, good grilled fish and very disappointing causa de cangrejo. Owner approached table and was very interested in the opinion of my blond friends; odd attitude, not uncommon but very disagreable

Stayed in Manuel's with friends while vacationing in Peru and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Their welcoming environment and pristine rooms made for a very comfortable stay. Downstairs their family run restaurant had everything one could want for a real Peruvian experience. Their dishes were authentic, fresh and delicious. The family was very fast and attentive to all of our needs and worked very hard to keep all their customers satisfied. I definitely recommend Manuel's to anyone looking for a genuinely welcoming and comfortable experience. The beach was in walking distance and the rooms had wonderful views with an upstairs patio that was very beautiful and well maintained. I left feeling very lucky to have stumbled upon such a gem and can't wait to go back! Very highly recommended!
