On our evening stroll through the center of Leer we found this Italian restaurant with a harbour view and entrance around the corner between the shopping street and the harbour board walk. The restaurant is a family owned place with real Italians running it, father, mother and son. Speaking Italian among them adds to the authentic character. We had 2 jugs of wine (each 25 cl) and for all open wines the price was just below ⬠5. So just pick your taste and ignore the price as they are all the same. We then had a real Italian pizza and the taste was really good and the prices very competitive. Other dishes were available too and you can really have a good meal here. Not to forget the amuse of the house: warm bread with tomato pieces, really tasty and a good appetizer. The place was well filled which is always a sign that the guests like the quality of the food. If you stay here for some days or a weekend it is a good place to visit.

Mamma Mia is our favorite Italian restaurant in Leer. It's located at the eastern end of the pedestrian mall. The menu contains the usual pizzas and pastas, but also steaks, seafood and salads. If you are looking for something you don't find on the menu, just ask Boris or Salvatore for it. My favorite is tortellini Mamma Mia style. Yummy!!!

Wir waren am WE nach längerer Zeit mal wieder im La Cucina und hatten glücklicherweise einen Tisch reserviert, das Lokal war voll. Eigentlich alles wie früher, der Service war schnell und zuvorkommend, das Essen und die Weine waren lecker. Allerdings hatten wir zumindest das Gefühl, dass sich die Speisekarte seit unserem letzten Besuch gar nicht geändert hat, deshalb als kleine Anregung: wir fänden wir ein paar wechselnde saisonale Gerichte prima. Ansonsten, sehr gerne wieder.

We found this delightful little place after walking around Leer. My wife and I were on a day trip from Düsseldorf and wanted a quick bite to eat. This place was perfect. The owner and his assistant customized our meal and made it fresh and exactly the way we wanted it. Super reasonable prices and fast. Highly recommended.

This modern Italian theme waterside restaurant in Leer serves a nice choice of Italian and fish dishes with a nice ambiance and pleasant staff who speak English. It is located in the new up-market development of waterside apartments and businesses. We ate there on a cold Monday evening in March and the restaurant was quite full of locals enjoying the excellent cuisine. We shall come back again, because there are very few decent restaurants in Leer, Ostfriesland.
