I'm an Australian citizen living in Hanno for 18 years. Coming from Australia, we know nice Italian food as it's part of our culture; partly as of the amount of Italian people. When I first came to Japan, eating at Italian restaurants was a joke. No where near the quality. My father cooks better Italian food than these restaurants. However I first came to Primavera some time ago. This restaurant is very different to the others. I'm sure there are some nice Italian restaurants in Tokyo, but this is Hanno. It's a nice area but when you are looking for really nice/good quality food, it's generally where you go to bigger cities.Tonight I went to Primavera. Maybe it was my fourth visit. It's my wife and my Anniversary and of course we took our 9 year old son. The tables are very plain but the environment is very cosy. My wife and I had the most expensive set course and my son had a pizza. Every thing was really good. For my meal they brought an in-between meal. This is very common in Australia and I'm not expecting any restaurant in Japan to "understand" the way it is. However they have definitely done their homework.Last week I went to this restaurant to book personally. My Japanese is not fluent. One of the staff and the cook went over want I wanted. Very very friendly and no "わかない!" One of the good traits in Japan is customer service, so it's not uncommon to find good staff at restaurants. Actually it's very hard to find difficult staff. However, every time I come to this restaurant, really good service and they'll do their best with another language. I feel even more satisfied than speaking with normal good staff.Again, I grew up in Australia and Italian food is part of my life. I'm very impressed with this restaurant!!
