Wondering Guesthouse

We had a wonderful experience at Hardanger Guesthouse. The location is ideal and the views are incredible. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The rooms are comfortable and contain all the necessities. Since we were visiting during the off season, the restaurants in the area all close pretty early. The host kindly made us a late night dinner. The pizza and burgers were surprisingly good! The breakfast also exceeded my expectations. The facilities were nice. The game/TV room was an added bonus. We appreciated the ample seating outside so we could take in every minute of the view. I big thank you to our host who made our trip even more enjoyable and memorable!

Okay bed, terrible breakfast

Reviewed By 250george17

Decent room, old and outdated. Okay view from the deluxe rooms. Very noisy, bathroom was very old. Shampoo was the same as handsoap… And don’t get me started on the breakfast. A single plate with the following: 1 slice of dry ham, 1 slice of salami, 2 slices of cheese, butter, 2-3 kind of jams, dry bread and a pair of croissants. You’d like some more ham? Forget about it. Another patron was berated by staff because it was only one plate per customer. The breakfast alone is worthy of a terrible rating, but since the bed was okay I’m giving it a poor rating. Do yourselves a favor… Stay away.

Amazing stay

One of the most amazing stays we have ever been. Osa was incredibly beautiful, and the Basecamps personnel were very helpful in guidance and tips for hiking trips in Osa and the surrounding environment. The yurts are a recommendation if you want to truly experience the Nordic nature, they are clean and a unique experience. Oh yeaj, pancake breakfast with local jellies!

Ulvik Camping

Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

Reviewed By Vacation51726174617

Wow wow wow! Don’t hesitate if....

Reviewed By fraink

Don’t hesitate if..... you love the outdoors! This is about as close to nature in Norway as you’re going to get short of sleeping on the cold hard ground ? Why do that when you can stay in terrific warm yurt! This place seemingly is in the middle of nowhere at the end of a fjord but close to it all! They provide you breakfast a cozy bed and a warm shower, even a place to do laundry! What they don’t make are your lunch and dinner you get to cook those over an open flame just outside your yurt! Don’t worry if you don’t have cooking equipment you can rent it from them you’ll just have to come with some food from the grocery store in Ulvik. This is somewhat of a “glamping” experience. It is not to be missed. The staff is terrific you can learn to start a fire simply with things found in nature, you can go on a walking tour and learn about insects you can eat, you can learn every detail of the history of that area of Norway and even the geology too!
