Reviewed By TravellingB700Had booked my week's stay online & doubted my decision when I arrived in an abandoned part of Saldus & had to carrying my bag up four flights after parking my car across the street in an unpaved area with puddles. However after my stay I was calling the Demians "home". The room wasn't fancy, but clean & the view through the high window beautiful. The bathroom was spotless and spacious. You have to consider yourself lucky as there are only ten rooms spread over two floors. Instead of room numbers they have names. Mine was "Cukurs" - Sugar. Breakfast in the lovely downstairs restaurant was sufficient to carry you through to a late summer dinner. It and the restaurant are family owned & run and so they really care about your comfort. The Demians is within easy walking distance from the market, town center & supermarket. The cost was really low for what one gets.

"An excellent guest house, if you are on a business trip"
Reviewed By DezinfaStylish and cosy, this is a boutique version of the traditional Latvian quest house. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Had dinner only in this hotel. It served a very Latvian meal.

The best thing - flexible checkout time. Recomend for everyone who wants to stay in Saldus and prefer appartments instead of hotels. )))
