Picky traveler looking for quiet hotel

At the beginning I would like to announce that I have stayed at the Duo Hotel, not at the Sosnowa Residence. Explanation about stars. I would give 3.5 from my travel experience. Standards in the world are a bit different than in Poland, also stars are not an objective reference point. In addition, there are other advantages not found abroad. Even free parking. Rooms neat, regularly cleaned. Breakfast almost like a high-class Caribbean resort (will not come out starving). Lack of a professional coffee barista is a minus. A high-level restaurant that promotes local products (respect for this). The bar may not be round the clock, but it was not a big problem to get a beer or a glass of cognac after hours. As for the room itself, there is generally nothing to complain about.The most important thing for me was that the air conditioning worked without any problems. Someone may find that instead of one king mattress there were two twin size beds. I do not think that this is a drawback worth attention. The most important thing it was comfortable and I gave my rest to the annoying sciatica. The lack of a lift is one of the minuses, so the service should offer to deliver your luggage to the room. Small things are the lack of a safe box in the room (It happened to be without, and for travelling guests, especially foreign is the basic room equipment) and so-called "do not disturb" information for cleaning staff not to disturb the rest. What else? By the way, room No. 66 would need some painting. Not that I am a picky guest, but someone else could pay attention to the stains on the walls and refuse accommodation. However, I tried to use my stay to observe and honestly describe them. I could not check some things out during a few days of stay how the spa works (I will leave it to my wife the next time) and ordering food to the room. The surrounding area is as always a unique, representative and beautiful surroundings of the Janów lake and Janów woods. A lot of opportunities to spend time in nature (walking, biking,horse riding, water sports). Regards for Mrs. Iwona. Nice hotel for large groups
Reviewed By Xenia MWe were a group of 34 people on study visit that stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. It was a good experience thanks to the good conditions and a very nice, hospitable and patient staff. All our needs and requests were fulfilled as much as possible. There are very comfortable and large rooms, beds with great blankets, the bath with a hairdryer, soap and towels. Everything in a great condition. Missed only some slippers and bathrobes (and it is quite cool there, so after the shower would be really useful). They are planning to build a swimming pool with jacuzzi in the basement, so it shall be a fully 4-star hotel soon. Destined for people with own transport (though there is some public transport nearby), because situated beside the road, between larger localities, in the middle of open fields. So there aren't any shops or entartainment, but instead it is perfect peace and quiet around (which is especially important for a good sleep). Not sure it has any conference rooms, because we had all the workshops in the Janow Lubelski town. But there are two large dining rooms where we could organize different integration activities. Miła obsługa pyszne jedzenie, nowoczesne przestronne pokoje z tarasami. Świeże powietrze i cosza pozwala zatrzymać się w czasie. Przy jeziorze adaptacja terenu od plaży po siłownię kajaki motorówki i parki linowe. Dużo możliwości nawet dla rodzin z dziećmi. W siostrzanym hotelu Duo SPA można skorzystać z basenu zabiegów i masażów. Polecam miejsce warte odwiedzenia?
