Reviewed By BartJ210Stayed here one night for business. Spacious and clean room with an excellent breakfast. Outstanding value for money. Free-Wifi (could be faster). Annex there is also a nice restaurant where you can have good diner.

The history of our hotel began in the founding years of the young city Espelkamp. Out of an old engine shed from the 30s a residence was built in 1953 and shortly after reconstructed into a hotel and restaurant. Now we have 44 comfortable, newly arranged and renovated business rooms (55 beds) to offer. And we continuously work on our rooms – according to the saying:- You don't have to complete your work, but you should never give up trying! -

Reviewed By paride12345I have stayed at the Mittwald Hotel a few times for business and I always enjoyed it. Clean rooms, very nice breakfast, good price and lovely staff. The reception is very flexible and allowed me to check-in late at night!

Reviewed By SurreySullyFirst visited this hotel three years ago and we were pleased to find that Anke and her staff were still as friendly and did all they could to make our stay a pleasant experience. The food was very good and they helped at any time to translate the menu for us, despite being a popular restaurant with the locals. The location of the hotel is conveniently away from the main thoroughfare, surrounded by fields of arable crops, and is therefore peaceful, with ample parking. Would stay here again if we revisit this part of Germany

Reviewed By Stan LPositiv: Das Zimmer selbst ist geräumig und macht einen sauberen Eindruck. Die am Hotel vorbeiführende Straße ist nachts wenig befahren wodurch es sich auch bei offenem Fenster ruhig schlafen lässt. Die Sommerhitze kann man mit dem bereitgestellten Lüfter erträglich machen. Der Fernseher hat für ein Hotelzimmer ausreichende Größe. Parkplätze sind in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Auch größere Fahrzeuge z.B. Montagebullis oder Fahrzeuge mit Anhänger finden hier genug Platz. Negativ: Die Badezimmerlüftung in meinem und scheinbar auch der angrenzenden Zimmern sind scheinbar mit dem Dunstabzugskanal der Küche verbunden. Es stinkt wie in altem Öl frittierte Fischstäbchen. Man muss die ganze Nacht das Licht anlassen damit der Lüfter dagegen arbeiten kann.Wenn man am nächsten Tag zurück ins Zimmer kommt ist dieser „betörende“ Geruch auch schon wieder da. Das Badezimmer ist zudem sehr klein was man besonders beim duschen merkt. Ich wusste nicht das es so kleine Duschwannen mit einem so schmalen Eckeinstieg gibt. Sich nach dem runtergefallenen Duschgel zu bücken gestaltet sich schwierig. Die mangelnde Ablagemöglichkeiten und die fast abfallende Duschstange macht es nicht besser. Der Rinnsal der Toilettenspülung schafft es nicht auch nur Kleinigkeiten in einem Gang zu beseitigen. Ein Aufkleber im Bad weist darauf hin das, wenn man neue Handtücher wünscht die alten einfach auf den Boden legen soll. So wie in anderen Hotels auch. Hier aber werden die Handtücher vom Personal einfach aufgenommen, ein wenig glatt gezogen und wieder aufgehängt. Meine Zahnpastaspuren haben es verraten. Die Matratze in meinem Bett vergleiche ich einfach mal mit Treibsand. Man legt sich rein und versinkt in einer durchgelegenes Kuhle. Mein Physiotherapeut wird sich über den Zusatzverdienst freuen den Rücken wieder gerade biegen. Wenn ein Gast am nächsten Tag Wert auf ein frisch gemachtes wert legt dann muss er es wohl selber machen. Das acht Euro Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr übersichtlich. Hier heißt es, der frühe Vogel fängt nicht nur den Wurm sondern hat wenigstens ein bisschen mehr Auswahl. Ein wenig wie Planwirtschaft. Mehr gibt‘s nicht. Das Personal zeichnet sich nicht durch seine Freundlichkeit aus. Wenn man dann dem Gast auch noch erzählt das man zu viel arbeiten muss und keine Lust auf den Job hat dann wäre vielleicht ein berufliche Umorientierung angesagt. Der ungepflegte Außenbereich rundet das Gesamtbild ab. Von einem Besuch der Hauseigenen Gastronomie habe ich abgesehen.
