So much fun! We went to Dragon Distillery for the first time this past weekend. The distillery hosted an AMAZING Valentine’s Day event complete with ax throwing, delicious drinks (try the Dark Knight and the Hot Buttered Rum!), an appetizer and a really cool alcohol infusion experience (can’t wait to see how they turn out!). The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I also want to give extra points for being extremely Covid compliant. My husband and I both mentioned multiple times throughout the event how safe we felt indoors due to the team’s hard work and diligence. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

OMG!!! I've done many escape rooms, but the excitement we met from the beginning of our first room from our Host Rachel was amazing!! I can't even give up too much but she really was attentive, helpful and comical. We did two rooms back to back; the Wild Wild Quest and Tyrannosaurus Rex really worked our mind and made us want more. One of their rooms I'm preparing for in the future, "The Witching Hour" is so intriguing for me to try, but i have to complete quite a few more rooms before we ready for that, lol.

This is a fascinating museum. We planned an hour and went over quite a bit. Parking was easily found in the large parking garage behind the museum. Parking was only a few dollars for the 2hrs we were there. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and the museum well laid out given the floor space. We’ve visited about 60% or more of the Civil War museums and battlefield parks in the US, I can say I definitely learned more about Civil War medical practices and procedures in this museum than I previously understood. The exhibits and displays will require you to read and engage to get the most out of it. I am quite sure we could go back and easily spend 2 more hours in this museum. On a side note, the museum gift shop had a well curated selection of Civil War medical history books at what was good pricing at the time of our visit. Well worth the visit if you any interest in the Civil War or medicine.

Monocacy National Battlefield

This key Civil War battlefield marked the last push north by Confederates in 1864. Although it's seen as a confederate victory, this advance on Washington, D.C. was brought to a hault by the forces led by Major General Lew Wallace, U.S. Army.

The Monocacy National Battlefield naturally does not receive the traffic that sites such as Gettysburg and Antietum receive, but the 90 minutes we spent at the site were interesting, informative and very worthwhile. The small museum on the second floor of the visitor center is exceptionally well done and added to my education of the civil war. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Well worth a visit for anyone who is interesting in local and civil war history. Recommended!
