Navy Seal Museum

Reviewed By Y68JMdavidp - Topeka, United States

This is an outstanding museum you don't want to miss. We spent 4 hours going through all the exhibits. You can see it in half the time if you don't attend the 2 hour movie, but it is a highlight as it provides you the history of the Seals from beginning to present and we learned a lot. I highly recommend it. You will enjoy sitting in a black hawk helicopter, maybe seeing and petting a Navy K9 puppy, seeing Seal Delivery vehicles, maybe trying out the obstacle course, and getting a real appreciation for all the Seals do! You can even dress up for a photo opp!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Al's Family Farm. They have an excellent selection of citrus that is delicious. You can sample the citrus and juice. The honeybell juice is the BEST! Sherry was a friendly and fun tour guide. You get to see the fruit from tree to packaged. We shipped citrus home. It is a great tour for all ages. It was a highlight of our week in the area.

We discovered this museum by accident on the way to Jetty Park and when a rainy day cancelled our plans, we decided to check it out. What a wonderful place to spend some time learning about the history of the area. The volunteers have a wealth of knowledge and were delightful to talk with. It’s truly a gem and definitely worth a visit!

Hard to describe the feeling of being able to walk here on the beach au naturel. We love the beauty of the area... and it's other worldly to have such rare moments of freedom when we can feel the breeze, the sun all over. We were also happy to have other nudists nearby; there's a feeling we get of "safety" in numbers that adds to our comfort.
