Koggala is a small coastal town, situated at the edge of alagoon on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in Galle District, Southern Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. Koggala is bounded on one side by a reef, and on the other by a large lake, Koggala Lake, into which the numerous tributaries of the Koggala Oya drain. It is approximately 139 kilometres (86 mi) south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 3 metres (9.8 ft) above the sea level.

Located on the main Street behind the beach, happy hour 6:30 till 8:30pm. Beer 350rps per large tin,normally 500rps.Nice wooden style place where you can watch your food being cooked. Easy background music with pleasant atmosphere.10% service charge.Did not eat here but looks good food.Polite staff

Donât let the outside couple of tables disturbe you, the will kindly show you the backyard opening to an almost empty white sanded beach.The seafood is grilled to perfection and also the salad and chips are above average. Juices from all kind of local fruits.Only downside is a little wait due to absolute freshness so if you visit donât be in a hurry, enjoy everything.

We had dinner at Black and White restaurant last night. The most beautiful setting on the beach lit by candlelight. Our waiter was fantastic and so friendly!We went to have a look at todayâs fish which was freshly caught that day and had it all explained by the head chef (who was also great and very friendly!). We went with the jumbo prawns and tiger prawns and oh my goodness!! They were cooked in a garlic butter sauce and were INCREDIBLE! And we had finger bowls which is the first restaurant that has provided us with these this trip (without asking)!Highly recommend Black and White restaurant to anyone visiting Unawatuna. Our most favourite meal whilst in Sri Lanka and that is saying something as the food has been fabulous. Service makes the experience even better. Well reviewed place on Unawatuna beach. We went here after reading the great reviews for drinks and dinner. The setting is lovely and the drinks were good but not amazing. The food was also good without being as great as perhaps we expected after reading the reviews. We had the pesto pasta and the prawn burger - both were enjoyable but we enjoyed other places to eat in Unawatuna more for this price.

We went to Sticks for dinner and we were so surprised! The place is beautiful with a very nice beach vibe, surronded by palmtrees and wood. Kind of hard to find a place like this in the south coast! And the food... so yum! Everything was super tasty but the highlight was the rice and the shiitake sticks great music and drinks too! Went there on 23rd March. It's a covered area at the back of their house and very much home cooking. The freshly cooked spring rolls were very good and the cuttlefish curry was also really tasty. Everything is cooked to order so I can imagine you need to be patient if it is busy. We really liked the food. We recommend this place as long as you dont mind 3 cats hanging around under your table.
