I was in Dana Point for a work trip and wanted to get in a bike ride with some colleagues. Renting with Synaptic Cycles was very easy. Shawn the owner of Synaptic asked all the right questions prior to our arrival (size, ride style, and preferences). On the morning of our ride Shawn shows up at our hotel with carbon road bikes all in great condition. My rental was a Scott Z85 with Di2 shifters. Shawn made some quick adjustments to the bikes and within 20 minutes we were ready to roll. During our pre arrival communications Shawn offered to guide our trip and we ended up having a terrific 70 km ride via the Aliso Creek bike paths. We stopped for a great lunch at Cooks Corner and a very enjoyable time on the bikes. I had not rented performance bikes on work trips before but this is a great concept. For athletes or bike enthusiasts that want to ride or keep training during work travel Synaptic Cycles is a great option.

We had often wanted to give electric bikes (Pedego) a try so when on a visit to the sea side town of Dana Pt we were up for a visit to Danny's shop. After a brief intro and with route instructions in hand we headed out for a ride along the coast on the bike trail to san Clemente pier. What a blast! A perfect safe route with nice views and walk on pier. Suprised by the torque generated and the top speed of about 20mph was fun. We had considered ebikes for use on our rv adventures particularly the larger tired of road models. I do like the exercise a regular bike provides ..... perhaps ebikes will reapear on our radar when we are old and grey. Meanwhile best wishes to Danny and if looking for a fun adventure in Dana Pt give Pedego bikes a try.
