Chittagong (/tʃɪtəɡɒŋ/), officially known as Chattogram (Bengali: চট্টগ্রাম [tʃɔʈːogram]; Chittagonian: চাঁটগা) is a major coastal seaport city and financial centre in southeastern Bangladesh. The city has a population of more than 2.5 million while the metropolitan area has a population of 4,009,423 at the 2011 Census, making it the second largest city in the country. It is the capital of an eponymous district and division. The city is located on the banks of the Karnaphuli River between the Chattogram Hill Tracts and the Bay of Bengal. Evening cruise on private motor boat. Many commuters cross the river in the mornings and back in the evenings after work. Many large ships anchored in the river.

Graves of service members from Commonwealth countries and 20 foreign nationals who died in WW2. No US service members. The birthplace of a 23 year old RAF pilot who died in 1942 was written on his gravestone plaque: Charlestown, South Carolina. City of birth is written as, Charlestown and not Charleston. I tipped the groundskeepers for the hard work they are doing to maintain the cemetery so beautifully.
