Top 6 Food Tours in Santorini, South Aegean

September 16, 2021 Concepcion Newsome

Even if you’ve never been to this Cyclades island in the Aegean Sea, you’d still recognize it immediately – candy-colored houses carved into cliffs, sapphire waters, gleaming white buildings topped with half-spheres the color of a stormy sky. Here you’ll find peace as you roam the black sand beaches or the streets of a provincial village like Imerovigli. Beautiful Oia is world famous for its sunsets, which seem tinted with every shade of an artist’s palette.

We visited Santorini for couple of days in October and our hotel recommended us santomax for an unforgettable wine tour. Very informative, our tour guide was professional and because of Covid 19 the van and the wineries have all the equipment to keep us safe! Thank you for that experience. Stay safe.

We went with Dimitrios to multiple places in Oia, Imerovigli as well as somewhere close to our hotel. Our photographer was very patient, professional, knew where to find the most beautiful / best & quiet places (even on a busy day in oia) to have a lot of beautiful pictures. We received a ton of pictures from which we now can select 30 to optimize (difficult task - luxury problem). I highly recommend this tour, the fact it's a 4h tour total leaves enough time for pickup and to visit multiple locations, some tours are slightly cheaper but if there's only one or two hours available I don't see how a good result can be obtained (including driving-time etc).

Dimitris was an excellent guide with knowledge, sense of humor and very careful in everything. as a family we felt safe from the first moment, the bikes were in excellent condition, clean and very easy :) it was the first time we rode an electric bike. we explored 3 traditional villages we sat for fresh lemonade in a local cafe. and we enjoyed the view of the caldera. it was like a fairy tale, enchanting. we would definitely do it again. we highly recommend it to anyone who thinks about it
