Itâs perhaps a bit of an oddity that Edinburgh has a cult baked potato scene but it exists. Perhaps th more famous tattie take away is a little further up the hill right in the centre of where the Edinburgh Fringe Festival explodes onto the city in August each year, thereâs many a a performer & flyerer that owe their continued existence to these places.The Tempting Tattie is perhaps the unsung hero of these eateries, located a mere 5 minutes walk down from the hubbub of the crowds (which are pretty busy year round these days) they provide more or less the same food but without the queues (not that itâs not popular, just a little less touristy) you can then perch on the wall outside looking out over the beautiful city sights. The guy behind the counter is always in a wry good mood. Portion size is more than enough for me but there is a regular, large & an extra large option (reg is pretty big sometimes a spud & a half!)Well worth the extra 5 mins walk to get a peaceful & delicious lunch.

Drove past on our way home last night and noticed for first time. Decided to return later. Checked out menu online. Do Chinese and Thai. Ordered a chicken red curry and a prawn red curry with coconut jasmine rice. Restaurant quality despite being a wee takeaway. Average price. (£18 for both) Rice in particular very good. Would have happily eaten just a bowl of rice. Very friendly staff. About to become our new favourite - and only a 5 minute drive away - might be dangerous for the purse and the waistline!

The chicken kebabs are the best, thats all im saying, have bumped into lots of people who would agree. Had the pizza before too which is really nice, not greasy. Always good delivery, quick and cheery people. Best take away in Musselburgh i would say.

Takeaway Just bought a pizza direct with the shop and got over charged. When I called to question the price I was told they had just changed their prices also when I quizzed that it was cheaper going through just eat they said â you never went through just eat you came to usâ clearly that was my fault. If you want to use them use them through just eat as they donât care about you going direct. Have been using them for 2 years safe to say after their response I will happily go else where.
